The Opportunity For our Abbott Diabetes Care Division ADC we are currently looking for an experienced sales talent to join our commercial team in Czech Republic as a Sales Specialist. This is a field-based role requiring daily travel across the Moravia region, ideally based in Olomouc. The territory covers Olomouc, Přerov, Prostějov, Šumperk, Jeseník, Bruntál, Vsetín, Svitavy, Ústí nad Orlicí, Blansko, and surrounding areas. Primary Objective of Position Increase sales and market share of Abbott Diabetes Care products within the assigned territory. Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals (HCPs), including diabetologists, physicians, nurses, and other key stakeholders, while supporting patients through education and product adoption. Maintain a high level of knowledge of Abbott Diabetes Care products, diabetes management, competitive products, market dynamics, and industry trends. Effectively plan and execute short- and long-term business strategies to achieve sales objectives and drive sustainable growth. What You'll Do Meet or exceed sales quotas and objectives for Abbott Diabetes Care (ADC) products. Establish and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals (HCPs), including diabetologists, physicians, nurses, diabetes educators, clinics, and patients. Conduct product-related training sessions and educational programs for physicians, nurses, HCPs, and patients through both virtual and in-person formats. Promote Abbott Diabetes Care solutions by delivering accurate, compliant, and compelling product and clinical information. Develop and implement territory, account, and call plans that include clear goals, action plans, timelines, and resource allocation. Effectively analyze business trends, customer needs, and market opportunities to maximize territory performance. Regularly track, review, and report progress against territory and sales plans, adjusting activities as needed to achieve objectives. Develop a thorough understanding of diabetes care pathways, diabetology practices, reimbursement environments, and customer needs across the territory. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of customer interactions and daily activities within the company CRM system (Veeva experience is an advantage). Complete all administrative responsibilities accurately and on time, including expense reporting (Concur experience is considered a plus). Ensure full accountability for product samples and materials in accordance with Abbott policies and local regulations. Stay current on competitor activities, market developments, and emerging trends within the diabetes care and medical device sectors. Required Qualifications and Background University degree in Business, Life Sciences, Medical, Healthcare, Technical, or a related discipline preferred; secondary school education required. Strong knowledge of diabetes management, diabetology, and the healthcare environment is highly desirable. Previous sales experience is required; experience in medical devices, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, or diabetes care is preferred. Experience calling on and building relationships with healthcare professionals (HCPs), including diabetologists, endocrinologists, physicians, nurses, and clinic staff. Good understanding of local market dynamics, healthcare systems, competitors, terminology, challenges, and applicable regulations. Proven ability to develop relationships, influence stakeholders, and negotiate effectively within targeted accounts. Experience conducting product presentations, training sessions, and educational activities for medical professionals and patients. Familiarity with CRM systems; experience with Veeva CRM is an advantage. Experience using Concur for expense management and reporting is a plus. Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills. High energy, integrity, accountability, and a strong drive to achieve results. Good command of English and excellent/native-level Czech and/or Slovak language skills.
