General Purpose of Role: To assure the quality of clinical trials distribution. Main Responsibilities: Ensuring that all activities are carried to GMP and GDP. Performing the post pick verification of Clinical Trial shipments to ensure that the appropriate supplies have been picked and have been prepared ready for despatch correctly. Performing the verification that temperature controlled shipments (e.g cold chain, frozen) have been configured correctly including the activation of temperature monitoring devices. Inspections of pick and pack cubicles or areas before materials or products are introduced to ensure the absence of materials or products from previous operation. Quality oversight of all point of despatch labelling. Perform spot checks of warehouse log books to ensure accuracy and compliance with Good Documentation Practice. Cross functional support with the QC inspector role Assisting QA with the investigation of customer complaints and deviations. Outcomes of Role Reduced number of incorrect shipments or despatch errors Drive towards right first time approach with warehouse operators Specific Qualifications: GCSEs in Maths & English, NVQ2 in a relevant qualification, , or BTEC National Diploma in pharmaceutical science, or NVQ/SVQ level 3 in pharmacy services, or National Certificate in pharmaceutical science Previous Work Experience: Previous experience within: A distribution/warehouse environment A GMP environment. experience within a quality role, is desirable Specific Knowledge / Skills Competence: A high level of attention to detail is essential for the successful outcome of this role Experience in the clinical supply field, An understanding of Quality Standards including GMP, GCP and GDP. Knowledge of Sage 200 or similar enterprise management systems IT literate in standard packages (MS Office) Good written and communication skills. Behavioural Competencies: Customer Service.
