Work Schedule Standard (Mon-Fri) Environmental Conditions Laboratory Setting Job Description We are seeking a Scientist III with strong qPCR /dPCR expertise who is interested in expanding their impact through data-driven analysis and bioinformatics. This role combines hands-on laboratory work with statistical and computational analysis to support assay development, troubleshooting, and product lifecycle activities. The ideal candidate is a qPCR subject matter expert who is comfortable working in the lab, understands assay and master mix performance at a deep level, and has practical experience using Python and/or R to analyze data, support decision-making, and improve development workflows. Key Responsibilities Design, optimize, and troubleshoot qPCR / dPCR assays and reagents, including hands-on laboratory work. Apply statistical methods to analyze qPCR data and support development and troubleshooting activities. Use Python and/or R (including Bioconductor) for data analysis, assay evaluation, and workflow improvement. Perform bioinformatics and sequence analysis, including primer/probe design, specificity checks, and performance evaluation. Collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, and Product teams across development and product lifecycle activities. Prepare technical documentation, experimental summaries, and recommendations in a regulated environment. Required Qualifications: Education: Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics, or a related field. Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience in qPCR assay development and/or qPCR consumables (e.g. master mixes). Strong wet-lab background in molecular biology techniques. Practical experience using Python, R and/or JMP for data analysis in a scientific context. Knowledge & Skills: Solid understanding of qPCR assay performance metrics and troubleshooting strategies. Experience performing stability, guard-banding, and robustness studies using statistical and analytical tools. Familiarity with bioinformatics tools such as Primer3, BLAST, and Bioconductor. Ability to translate experimental and analytical results into clear technical recommendations. Good English communication skills (B2–C1). Compensation The monthly salary range estimated for this position based in Lithuania is €2 891,67–€4 335,42.
