Job Description: Job Summary: Microchip is seeking a highly motivated Automotive Customer Interface & Process Manager to serve as a key liaison between the company and its automotive customers. This role ensures that both standard and customer-specific automotive requirements are fully supported while driving continuous improvement of business processes, including the integration of AI where applicable. The position combines technical understanding, customer engagement, and process excellence. Key Responsibilities: Act as an interface between Microchip and automotive customers for process-related topics. Support and ensure compliance with international automotive standards and customer-specific requirements (e.g., IATF 16949, VDA standards). Manage and guide customers through core automotive processes, including: PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) documentation and submissions Change management procedures Supply chain escalation handling Develop, optimize, and standardize internal business processes, leveraging digitalization and AI-based solutions where beneficial. Communicate complex process requirements clearly to international customers and internal stakeholders. Coordinate cross-functional teams (quality, supply chain, engineering, sales, marketing) to ensure alignment with customer expectations. Support and contribute to customer-facing initiatives such as marketing campaigns, technical workshops, and process training sessions. Monitor customer feedback and drive continuous improvement actions. Ensure timely resolution of customer issues and escalation management. Requirements/Qualifications: Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field. More than 5 years work experience in the semiconductor and/or automotive industry. Strong knowledge of automotive quality standards and methodologies (PPAP, APQP, change management, etc.). Experience in customer-facing roles, preferably with automotive OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers. Familiarity with process improvement methodologies and digital tools; exposure to AI-driven process optimization is a plus. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
