Role Overview An Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and supporting the infrastructure that enables an organization's IT systems and services to run smoothly. This includes working with hardware, networking, virtualization, cloud environments, and security systems to ensure the organization's IT infrastructure is efficient, reliable, and scalable. Infrastructure engineers often work closely with software engineers, IT support teams, and system administrators to optimize performance, mitigate risks, and deliver high-quality services to end-users. What will you do in this role:Manage the design, procurement, installation, upgrading, operation, control, maintenance, and effective use of specific technology services. Collaborate with business and IT teams to develop Data Archival solutions for Application retirement, Decommissioning and Live Data Archival. Carry out and also improve system software development and maintenance tasks by updating the product design to automate routine system administration tasks using standard tools and software development practices. Provide help with strategic direction and oversight for the design, development and support of Data Archival infrastructure that includes the full life cycle of technical Work within a matrix organizational structure, reporting to both the functional manager and the Product manager. Participate in Product planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring alignment with Product goals. What should you have:3-4 years relevant IT Technical Experience in Data Archival platforms, Cloud & automation technologies. Cloud Engineering & Architecture (AWS; Azure is plus) Automation CI/CD methodologies AWS Cloud (PaaS, IaaS, SaaS) Scripting knowledge such as Python, Powershell or Shell Scripting including the ability to write efficient and maintainable code to automate tasks At least 3-5 years relevant IT Systems Administration experience in Data Archival, Cloud & Automation related Infrastructure: Understanding Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile framework 4-5 years of experience designing & developing scalable and high-performance Data archival & retrieval solutions 5+ Experience with integrating archival products with databases, file systems and cloud storage Experience on System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) is preferred. Experience with Archival product vendors (OpenText Info Archival, SOLIX, Informatica, etc) Experience on Databases like Oracle, SQL, CITUS, Hive, etc & Querying Knowledge Building data pipelines for efficient data ingestion and retrieval from source systems to archive. Experience on Solix CDP 2.6 or above with sound knowledge of various functionalities which Solix offers such as Active Archiving, Retention Policies, Reports, Forms, etc. Must have experience in end-to-end application archiving for structured, semi-structured and unstructured data from different databases and file sources Expertise on Infrastructure as a Code (IaC) automation technologies and tools including Ansible, Python and Cloudformation & Terraform Experience with designing and deploying AWS Services like Elastic Compute (EC2), Storages (S3, EBS), EMR, Lambda, Cloud Watch, Cloud Formation and RDS Education Minimum Requirement: High School diploma.Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with relevant experience in Computer Science, IT Engineering, Math, or equivalent experience.Our technology teams operate as business partners, proposing ideas and innovative solutions that enable new organizational capabilities.
