We are looking for an experienced Mid-Level Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) Engineer to take ownership of the design, development, and delivery of automated IT/OT solutions. You will lead project workstreams, mentor junior team members, and serve as a technical resource for complex system challenges. The Opportunity Design SCADA solutions using AVEVA System Platform galaxy structures, template hierarchies, and object modeling and custom SCADA .NET solutions Develop complex scripting solutions for advanced functionality Configure redundancy, failover strategies, and disaster recovery architectures Lead system integration efforts between SCADA, PLCs, MES (preferably Siemens Opcenter), and enterprise systems Perform system sizing, network design support, and platform specifications Lead Computer System Validation (CSV) activities and provide on-site commissioning support Develop and enforce SCADA development standards, naming conventions, and best practices Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers Manage system upgrades, patches, and migrations across SCADA platform versions Troubleshoot complex issues related to communication, performance, and system stability Interface with stakeholders to gather requirements and present technical solutions Who You Are Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field, or equivalent work experience 4+ years related experience Preferred Qualifications Experience with industrial protocols: OPC-UA, OPC-DA, Ethernet/IP Solid experience integrating with PLCs (Siemens S7, Rockwell ControlLogix, B&R, Beckhoff) Proficiency in T-SQL for historian data, reporting, and custom queries Experience with Windows Server administration, Active Directory, and domain environments Strong understanding of network architecture in industrial environments (DMZ, firewalls, VLANs) Strong proficiency in System Platform architecture (GR Nodes, AppEngines, Redundancy, IDE) AVEVA Certified System Platform Engineer or equivalent Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks Familiarity with MES integration (ISA-95) Experience with virtualization SCADA architectures Project leadership or team lead experience Familiarity with GxP/medical device validation processes Additional Information Location: This position is based at our Indianapolis, IN office headquarters. Relocation benefits are not provided with this job posting. The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Indianapolis is $85,000 - $157,800. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
