In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with leading-edge technologies, such as immunohistochemistry (IHC), multiplex assays, messenger RNA in situ hybridization (mRNA ISH), digital pathology, and more. The OpportunityClinical & Client Support: Provide crucial pathology and slide reading support for assay development, FDA submissions, clinical trials, and esteemed Pharma clients, collaborating seamlessly with both internal and external development teams. R&D Innovation: Stay at the forefront of research and development activities by supporting the development of primary antibodies, detection systems, probes, and special stains. Strategic Advisory: Utilize your expertise to advise on future pathology and medical needs, ensuring that we stay ahead of the curve in our industry. Cross-Functional Leadership: Serve as the medical representative on project core teams and contribute to pathology-related aspects of specific development projects. Operational Excellence: Drive continuous improvement in work processes, making a direct impact on the efficiency and effectiveness of our operations. Who You Are:You have a M.D. or D.O. with US Board Certification in Anatomic Pathology and an active state medical license. You are Residency-trained in anatomic pathology with expertise in surgical pathology and a proven ability to assess histopathology, IHC, ISH, and multiplex assays. You are experienced in evaluating complex immunohistochemistry assays such as PD-L1, HER2, and Ki-67. You are passionate about companion diagnostics (CDx) and Oncology, the "right drug, right patient, right time" philosophy. You are comfortable reading digital whole slide images and IHC stained slides, as well as utilizing automated algorithms You thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment, working alongside scientists, engineers, and regulatory experts to drive products from development to clinical trial success. Preferred QualificationsYou are fellowship trained with at least 1 year of experience in clinical practice or the biotechnology/pharma industry. The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Tucson, AZ is 174,00-323,100. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
