The Opportunity Roche Support Network is dedicated to providing exceptional support to customers. As an Associate Field Engineering Specialist you will: Showcase your expertise in technical repair and installation for Roche assigned product lines. Offer valuable service to laboratory customers in your assigned territory. Provide routine technical support, on-site service, repair, and installation of Roche products. Serve as a customer contact for technical and service-related issues and perform preventative maintenance. Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hardware, software, and system failures. Document all activities, contribute to quality improvement, and focus on maximizing customer satisfaction. This field-based role requires up to 50% travel. This person will support Detroit, MI and surrounding areas. Who you are You hold a High school diploma and 2 years of technical school or equivalent military training or equivalent work experience. 2 years of experience repairing or servicing mechanical/system hardware and software, or networking/wireless networking or equivalent level of competency attained through appropriate training curriculum or Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry or related field. Preferred Requirements Basic knowledge of electronics, electro-mechanical systems and information technology Knowledge of basic chemistry Ability to work after hours, provide weekend and holiday support on a rotated basis within an assigned territory and/or geographic region and be on call 24/7 during rotation Ability to develop in-depth technically related trouble shooting skills Good written/verbal communication, organization and prioritization skills Effective customer service skills, which includes a positive attitude, helpful customer interaction, and maintenance of ongoing customer relationships Relocation benefits are not available for this position. The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Detroit, MI​ is 55,900.00 - 103,700.00 USD Annual. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
