This role requires a dynamic approach to troubleshooting, ensuring the smooth operation of critical applications. The professional collaborates with different teams to maintain system stability and performance, while continuously monitoring and analyzing system behavior to prevent potential disruptions. The work environment is fast-paced and demands adaptability, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering reliable support services that uphold business continuity. Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to be an lead, collaborate and manage the team to perform. - Responsible for team decisions. -Administer, monitor, and maintain the enterprise Cohesity backup infrastructure. -Manage backup policies, protection groups, retention policies, replication, archival, and recovery operations. -Perform backup validation and restore testing for virtual machines, databases, file systems, NAS, and enterprise applications. -Monitor backup health, storage utilization, replication status, and platform performance. -Perform capacity planning and optimize backup infrastructure utilization. -Execute platform upgrades, patching, firmware updates, and lifecycle management activities. -Coordinate Disaster Recovery (DR) testing and validate recovery objectives (RPO/RTO). -Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring incidents and implement permanent corrective actions. -Ensure backup environments meet security, compliance, and audit requirements. Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Backup and Recovery Systems, TSM Backup Administration, EMC Data Domain Administration. - Strong knowledge of backup and recovery methodologies and best practices. - Experience with troubleshooting and resolving complex issues in backup environments. - Familiarity with storage systems and data protection technologies. - Ability to analyze system logs and performance metrics to identify root causes. - Skilled in scripting and automation to optimize backup operations and reporting. -Serve as the final technical escalation point for complex backup and recovery issues. -Lead troubleshooting involving backup software, virtualization, storage, networking, operating systems, and enterprise applications. -Review and enhance backup architecture to improve scalability, resilience, and operational efficiency. -Participate in change planning, implementation, risk assessment, and technical governance. -Drive continuous service improvement initiatives and operational excellence. -Collaborate with cross-functional teams during major incidents and infrastructure transformation projects.
