AbbVie is currently recruiting a Logistics Manager for our manufacturing site in Liège. Reporting directly to the Plant General Manager, this leadership position plays a critical role in ensuring the uninterrupted supply of products to customers while supporting the site's operational performance and growth objectives. The Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing all logistics activities related to the receipt, storage, inventory management, preparation, shipment, and distribution of the site's pharmaceutical products. The role ensures the efficient management of material and product flows while maintaining compliance with Quality, GMP, EHS, regulatory, cost, and service level requirements. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, the Logistics Manager drives supply chain performance, business continuity, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction. The position also includes responsibility for warehouse operations, transportation management, inventory optimization, and procurement of logistics-related consumables and services. Key Responsibilities Lead all warehouse and logistics operations, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient execution of inbound and outbound activities. Ensure inventory accuracy, product traceability, cycle counting effectiveness, and robust stock control processes. Coordinate inbound receipts, outbound shipments, and internal material movements to support production and customer demand. Manage transportation providers and third-party logistics partners, monitor service levels, and implement continuous improvement actions. Ensure accuracy of SAP/ERP transactions and maintain data integrity between physical and system flows. Define, optimize, and maintain inventory strategies to support operational continuity and customer service. Develop, implement, and maintain logistics procedures in compliance with GMP, Quality, and EHS requirements. Represent the Logistics function during regulatory inspections, customer audits, and corporate audits. Identify and escalate operational risks that may impact production, product availability, or customer service. Establish, monitor, and manage the departmental budget in alignment with business objectives. Drive continuous improvement, Lean initiatives, and cost optimization projects to enhance efficiency, warehouse utilization, and overall logistics performance. Monitor and analyze KPIs related to service levels, costs, inventory, productivity, and operational performance, implementing corrective actions when required. Lead, coach, and develop the Warehouse Operations team, ensuring appropriate training, performance management, and succession planning. Collaborate cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Production, Quality, Finance, and Procurement teams to support business continuity and prevent supply disruptions. Manage the purchasing of logistics and operational consumables, including supplier coordination, order placement, delivery follow-up, and receipt verification. Education & Experience Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Significant experience in Logistics, Warehouse Operations, or Supply Chain Management within a regulated environment, ideally in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or life sciences industry. Previous experience managing teams in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, transportation management, inventory control, and supply chain processes. Experience working with GMP-regulated operations is highly desirable. Proven experience managing third-party logistics providers and transportation partners. Experience in budget management and cost optimization initiatives. Technical Skills Strong SAP/ERP knowledge and discipline in transaction management. Solid understanding of inventory management, cycle counting, and stock accuracy processes. Knowledge of logistics performance metrics and KPI reporting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. Familiarity with Lean, Continuous Improvement, and operational excellence methodologies.
