Responsibilities: Serves as a key member of management within the Americas leadership team, supporting all reporting responsibilities, including Management Board interactions. Directs efforts to ensure Vibracoustic facilities and equipment are adequately designed, built and maintained. Improve manufacturing efficiencies through adoption of world class manufacturing practices with emphasis to maintain safety, reduce labor cost, reduce scrap, ensure a product free of defects, all delivered on time and within budget. Focus should be applied to reduce inventories and thus increase Turns while maintaining excellent OTD. Become a champion of Vibracoustic's continuous improvement methodology. Carry out managerial responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Participate in formulating and administering company policies and developing long range goals and objectives. This includes the direction, focus, and visualization of activities in responsible departments to further the overall progressive goals and objectives and monitor their progress. Direct the company's Americas manufacturing activities to ensure maximum effectiveness is obtained for the production of quality products within specified time and budgetary guidelines. Accountable to ensure products meet or exceed customer quality standards and required delivery schedules are met. Interface with the Business Units (BU’s), Engineering and Sales/Marketing to coordinate the production process for the introduction of new products, as well as to align production locations with open capacity so that factory burden costs are properly covered. Define equipment and capital investments required to support manufacturing and service needs. Support new product transition for all new products in development under the Company’s APQP process methodology, including early pilot builds through production life of product. Ensure annual Organization Development plans are in place, including individual development and including succession planning. Support ongoing Safety program, including roll out of enhanced initiatives. Improve Employee Communication by conducting 1:1 meetings with direct reports as well as skip level meetings. Ensure spending and cost savings programs are managed and tracked. Qualifications: Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or technology (or equivalent relevant experience). 7-10 years of experience within plant management of automotive components, preferably, multi-site. Rubber processing and, or vibration dampening knowledge is preferred. Must have direct experience in world class manufacturing techniques including Lean Manufacturing, SPC, JIT, TQM, planning, purchasing, Kan Ban, Kaizen, etc. Must be able to define, monitor and communicate financial objectives and metrics. Knowledge of IATF16949, ISO 14001, ISO 9000, statistical process control, modern injection molding and assembly techniques. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office with a concentration on Excel and Powerpoint including presentation development and the generation of spreadsheets and business/financial models.
