Work Schedule First Shift (Days) Environmental Conditions Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards, Laboratory Setting Job Description Associate Scientist – RT-qPCR / ELISA Position: Shift: Full-Time; Monday – Friday; 8am-5pm EST ONSITE: This is a fully onsite role based at our customer’s site in (insert location – i.e. Boston, MA). Our Laboratories Functional Service Partnership (FSP) team plays a direct role in advancing drug development by creating sustained groups of talent within our customers’ organizations to provide long-term support. Key responsibilities: Execute nucleic acid-based assays, with primary emphasis on RT-qPCR and ELISA to support identity, potency, genome profiling, and impurity assessment. Nanostring and TIDE are NICE TO HAVE Analyze, summarize, and communicate experimental results through technical reports, data summaries, and presentations at internal team or project meetings, as needed. Maintain accurate, clear, and timely documentation of laboratory work in electronic lab notebooks (ELN) and support knowledge-sharing platforms such as Microsoft Teams and SharePoint. Follow, understand, and apply SOPs, test methods, and protocols while demonstrating sound scientific judgment in data interpretation. Participate in data management activities to ensure timely completion of project deliverables. Coordinate sample and reagent handling, including shipment receipt and internal distribution, as needed. Manage and track inventory of samples, reagents, and assay materials across supported projects. Collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams to meet program timelines and group priorities. Travel between sites within a 2-mile distance, as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in lab sciences such as Chemistry, Biochemistry, Material Science, Immunology, Biology, Molecular Biology or similar Assoc Scientist: Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 0-2 years’) In some cases, an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Required: Possesses excellent pipetting skills. Possess standard lab safety regulations and work in GLP like laboratory environment Has experience with molecular and plate-based techniques related to cell and gene therapy like RT-qPCR, qPCR, ddPCR, ELISA Nanostring and TIDE (NICE TO HAVE) Ability to work independently while contributing effectively in a team environment. Ability to utilize Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word to perform tasks as assigned. Able to perform successfully under pressure while prioritizing and handling multiple projects or priorities within required timelines. May have exposure to potentially hazardous elements, including infectious agents, typically found in healthcare or laboratory environments. Able to perform successfully under pressure while prioritizing and handling multiple projects or activities. Compensation and Benefits The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in Massachusetts is $28.00–$33.00. This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
