This position reports to: Procurement Manager __ Job Advert Your role and responsibilities In this role, you will have the opportunity to ensure the implementation, maintenance, and compliance of the purchasing and logistics-related activities in the Procurement function to support the businesses. Each day, you will execute assigned activities as per ABB standard procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by delivering and participating in training programs as required to ensure compliance and to foster professional development. The work model for the role is: {onsite} You will be mainly accountable for: Be responsible for daily operational quality management of global suppliers (mechanical, electrical, automation, spare parts & service suppliers); act as quality liaison between LBL, procurement and overseas suppliers. Review inspection plans, outgoing inspection reports, test data and process documents submitted by overseas suppliers to ensure compliance with company quality standards and technical specifications. Follow up supplier quality non-conformities, issue corrective action requests, track CAPA implementation, verify effectiveness and ensure full closure of quality issues. Organize quality review meetings with LBLs and suppliers for incoming defects and customer complaints, conduct root cause analysis and formulate improvement plans. Conduct regular quality performance evaluation for global suppliers, monitor incoming quality rate, defect frequency and corrective action on-time rate, deliver KPI reports and drive continuous improvement. Provide quality training and standard promotion for overseas suppliers, assist suppliers to optimize production and inspection processes. Handle quality-related claims and disputes for cross-border supply, collect evidence and coordinate with procurement to complete claim execution. Establish supplier quality files, non-conformance records and corrective action logs; maintain global supplier quality database and standardize quality management processes. Update global quality standards and inspection specifications regularly to ensure consistent implementation among all overseas suppliers. Qualifications for the role Education & Major: Bachelor degree or above, major in Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, Quality Management. Experience: Minimum 7 years working experience in SQE, supplier quality management or incoming quality control. Experience working with overseas suppliers and cross-border quality management is a plus. Language: Proficient in English reading and writing; oral English for daily quality communication, meetings and official correspondence; able to review English inspection reports, quality documents and CAPA reports independently. Spanish is a plus. Interview will be conducted in English. Professional Knowledge: Familiar with IQC process, supplier quality management, 8D, CAPA and root cause analysis tools; understand basic quality characteristics and inspection standards of mechanical, electrical and automation products. Skills: Proficient in MS Office and basic quality statistical tools; capable of document review, record management and meeting arrangement. Experience in welding quality control and integration of electrical equipment such us SWGRs and MCCs. Competencies: Strong sense of principle, meticulous and detail-oriented; excellent problem analysis and improvement driving ability; good communication skills for cross-department and cross-time zone collaboration; able to work under pressure. Preferred: ISO9001 or internal auditor certificate; familiar with quality management system of overseas manufacturing plants; working experience in mechanical or electrical industry.
