Abbott's Heart Failure division in Switzerland is looking for a Territory Manager Heart Failure/CardioMEMS - German-speaking Switzerlandhome-based, ideally located in the assigned territory within Switzerland The OpportunityThe Territory Manager is responsible for driving sustainable growth of Abbott’s Heart Failure business through the expansion of CardioMEMS therapy adoption, the development of implanting and referring networks, and the optimization of remote patient monitoring pathways across the territory. This role is focused on scaling therapy adoption, building strong referral ecosystems, and integrating digital monitoring solutions into clinical practice. Working closely with stakeholders across hospital and outpatient settings, the Territory Manager will position Abbott as a trusted partner in heart failure management while delivering commercial growth and improving patient access to innovative therapies. What You’ll Work OnActing independently within your territory, you will be responsible for achieving sales targets through volume growth, new account activation, and expansion of CardioMEMS utilization. You will develop and execute comprehensive territory and account plans focused on increasing adoption of CardioMEMS therapy and remote monitoring solutions. You will build and maintain strong relationships with heart failure cardiologists, heart failure clinics, hospital administrators, and other key stakeholders. You will lead pricing, contracting, and value-based discussions with customers while identifying opportunities to expand existing business. You will drive therapy adoption within existing implanting centers and heart failure clinics while identifying and developing new growth accounts. You will develop and expand referral networks across community and hospital settings, engaging referring physicians and heart failure clinics to improve patient access. You will map, optimize, and support patient pathways that enable earlier identification, monitoring, and management of heart failure patients. You will collaborate with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders to develop business cases supporting the introduction and implementation of the CardioMEMS service. You will analyze market opportunities, patient populations, and therapy gaps to identify strategic growth opportunities across the territory. You will deliver clinical education, product training, and therapy awareness programs to healthcare professionals and support peer-to-peer education initiatives. You will support procedures and therapy implementation, ensuring successful integration of CardioMEMS into heart failure clinic workflows and care pathways. You will provide ongoing technical, clinical, and operational support to customers and enable clinicians to leverage hemodynamic data for optimized patient management. You will collaborate closely with Marketing, Clinical, and Digital teams to execute campaigns, educational programs, product launches, and market development initiatives. You will maintain accurate pipeline management, forecasting, CRM reporting, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. You will represent Abbott at customer meetings, scientific workshops, educational events, and relevant national and international congresses. Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience in medical device, healthcare, or cardiovascular sales. Experience in heart failure management, cardiovascular therapies, or remote monitoring solutions is preferred. Demonstrated track record of successfully driving therapy adoption, developing accounts, and expanding professional networks. Experience engaging with heart failure clinics, outpatient care settings, and multidisciplinary healthcare stakeholders. Strong commercial acumen and ability to develop and execute strategic, data-driven territory plans. Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills with the ability to engage clinicians, administrators, and outpatient providers. Ability to translate complex clinical and technical information into compelling customer value propositions. Strong understanding of referral pathways, heart failure networks, and patient care models. Knowledge of heart failure management and remote monitoring technologies is highly desirable. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and accounts in a dynamic environment. High level of self-motivation, initiative, ownership, and commitment to delivering results. Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and CRM systems. Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory and provide flexible support based on customer and procedural requirements. Strong commitment to compliance, ethical business conduct, and patient-focused outcomes. Fluent in German and English; additional languages relevant to the Swiss market are an advantage. Based in or willing to relocate to the respective region in Switzerland.
