The Opportunity This position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, within the Core Diagnostics Division. Abbott Saudi Arabia is seeking a technically driven individual who is passionate about enhancing customer experiences to join our Technical Solution Design (TSD) team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to leverage technical expertise to support commercial discussions, develop customer-focused solutions, and contribute to business growth. Job Responsibilities In this pivotal role, you will support solution differentiation and customer engagement by aligning laboratory operational objectives with customer needs and demonstrating the value of Abbott's End-to-End Diagnostics Solutions. Working closely with Enterprise Account Teams, you will provide consultative expertise, workflow analysis, solution design, and strategic guidance to help customers achieve operational, clinical, and financial excellence Your responsibilities will include: Build Strategic Customer Relationships Develop and maintain strong relationships with laboratory and Hospital stakeholders, including operational leaders, executives, and key decision-makers impacted by Abbott's solutions. Provide Technical and Consultative Expertise Utilize Abbott's tools, workflow assessments, data analytics, operational observations, and industry best practices to establish credibility and demonstrate solution value. Collaborate on Customer Solutions Partner with Enterprise Account Teams and cross-functional stakeholders to identify customer challenges, align strategic objectives, and develop tailored solutions. Assess and Quantify Value Evaluate and communicate the operational, clinical, and financial benefits of proposed solutions through business cases and value-based recommendations. Support Strategic Account Growth Work with account managers and sales leadership to prioritize opportunities, develop account strategies, and support business growth initiatives. Engage Executive and Operational Stakeholders Facilitate discussions with laboratory leadership to align Abbott's solutions with organizational goals and future priorities. Design and Optimize Laboratory Solutions Design and optimize laboratory workflows, core laboratory layouts, and automation solutions by considering space utilization, sample flow, staff movement, productivity, safety, and future expansion requirements. Differentiate Abbott Solutions and Drive Long-Term Value Leverage market and competitive insights to position Abbott's End-to-End Solutions effectively while supporting customer success, workflow improvement, and long-term partnership growth. Contribute to the development of customer case studies, success stories, and testimonial materials that demonstrate measurable outcomes and solution value. Support Tender Responses Support tender and proposal activities by reviewing technical requirements, developing compliant solution designs, and contributing to competitive bid submissions. What You’ll Work On Laboratory workflow and automation optimization projects. Customer assessments and operational performance reviews. Solution design and value-based consulting engagements. Strategic account planning and customer transformation initiatives. Executive stakeholder presentations and workshops. Tender, proposal, and business case development. Cross-functional collaboration to deliver end-to-end laboratory solutions. Powerful customer communication with confident presentation skills. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering, Medical Laboratory Sciences, or a related scientific field. Licenses Saudi Council of Engineers / Saudi Commission for Health Specialtiesز Minimum Experience Required: Minimum of 2 years track record in the diagnostics industry with demonstrated success. Minimum Skills Required: Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. Hands-on experience with Core Diagnostics automation systems, laboratory automation solutions, with a strong understanding of pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical processes, and workflow optimization. Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Visio, and 3D design/modeling tools. Understanding of Lean Six Sigma methodologies and their application to process improvement, operational efficiency, waste reduction, and turnaround time optimization. Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills. Ability to interpret operational data and translate insights into practical solutions and recommendations. Strong collaboration and cross-functional teamwork skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a dynamic environment.
