The Market Access Lead Adria will guide, coordinate, plan, and prioritize the broad area of market access capabilities to design and implement innovative market access solutions into the changing market environment while driving cross-functional teamwork placing the patient at the center of any efforts and operating within AbbVie business code of conduct, policies and all applicable laws and regulations. Key Responsibilities Guide, coordinate, plan, structure and prioritize the broad area of market access capabilities to design and implement innovative market access solutions and services whilst driving cross-functional teamwork Define the strategic actions to the changing market environment, find innovative solutions on how to accelerate Abbvie’s products entering the market and proactively maintain and optimize access Lead cross-functional task force to bring key insights for new products (prior to phase 3) and help better tailor clinical development to ensure optimized access and price Ensure pricing and reimbursement at national and local level Work closely with other functions to build networks, understanding and close relationships with decision makers and leverage influence through joint programs of action Ensure collaboration with region and Area, and maintain an awareness and understanding of the impact of local affiliate decisions on Abbvie’s global business, and help to ensure Area materials meet the local needs Anticipate and influence Contracting & Tendering situations. Lead and coordinate with other functions (e.g. sales force reps, KAM payers/providers, legal, finance, Area) to share information about C&T situations and oversee the establishment of solutions Develop strategies to deal with challenges in collaboration with other functions, considering the implications to broader business When applicable, conduct post-negotiation win/loss reviews with involvement from other functions (e.g. finance, market research) Coach employees in team, constantly drive for excellence and ensure proper training Support the External affairs and market access director AHA in defining and implementing affiliate strategy Provide strategic contribution to the NNLRP process Play an active part within brand teams and identify opportunities to work collaboratively with cross-functional colleagues to deliver on brand objectives Continually deepen understanding of healthcare environment, map relevant stakeholders (e.g. politicians, healthcare/drug agencies, patient and physician associations and trade bodies), understand their role in future healthcare policies and identify key challenges and opportunities for the affiliate and specific brands. Develop the network of contacts, establish and maintain strong and trusted relationships with stakeholders crucial to Abbvie’s brands/global goals and objectives, and leverage the relationships to increase Abbvie reputation and ensure Abbvie brands market access and maintenance Other duties as assigned by manager Qualifications 5-10 years of experience of working with payer and provider stakeholders in Adria, facilitating or responsible for pharmaceutical product access to market. At least 5 years of direct people management experience, leading a team to achieve commercial goals. Proven extensive contact network, involvement and success in influencing the development of legislation and policy and strong knowledge of the process. Demonstrated experience in trade and health care issues. Experience with National / EU / International health care practices, systems, regulations and administrative processes that support Abbvie businesses. Proven experience in coalition-building and driving multi-stakeholder initiatives. Ability to innovate to create a sophisticated strategy across multiple stakeholders. Ability to understand the implications of local affiliate actions to other affiliates. Ability to provide direction and lead a cross-functional team to achieve Brand or Affiliate objectives Strong networking skills, capable of developing productive relationships with internal colleagues and key external and political stakeholders Understanding the macro environment and the cross influences on it. Knowledge of the healthcare environment, including deep knowledge of payer and provider. mechanisms, funding flows and legislation affecting market access of pharmaceutical products Good understanding of regional health care systems, to have a EU perspective when making local affiliate decisions. Practical understanding of the national pharmaceutical code of practice.
