Job Description: The Networking and Connectivity Solutions Business Unit within Microchip looking for a Principal Product Engineer to drive all facets of Product Support and Supply Chain Improvements. This is a key position within a growth business unit at Microchip. Interface with internal teams and external suppliers to resolve manufacturing issues that are technical (fab, packaging, test) and non-technical (supply chain, system related) Drive all aspects of foundry and assembly migrations/qualifications Be the key Business Unit representative in Asia to provide real-time support and guidance to various teams in the time zone Focus on key customer shortages and drive tactical and strategic improvements to supply chain Handle long-term customer change management (PCNs/PPAPs/Qualification Data) as the supply chain evolves Drive continuous improvement in product quality, cost and delivery while sustaining existing products Requirements/Qualifications: B.S. in Engineering or related field with 10+ years of relevant experience and driving skills Good written and verbal skills are a must with a focus on attention to detail. Ability to communicate to all levels (individual contributor to Director level) and various positions (planning, customer support, R&D Engineering, Corporate Packaging, Foundry Management, etc) Flexibility to communicate with different time zones as needed Technical supply chain management experience desired Semiconductor packaging technology knowledge required Good understanding of semiconductor manufacturing flow Applicants with diverse experience in both logistics and technical backgrounds encouraged to apply Travel Time: 0% - 25% To all recruitment agencies: Microchip Technology Inc. does not accept unsolicited agency resumes.
