A Day in the Life Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned: Provide technical support for sales team/distributors (where applicable) for assigned product lines and countries To develop in-depth knowledge in Spine and Neurosurgery products Be a product consultant for the sales team and distributors as needed Provide in-service support if needed Point of contact for the assigned countries to liaise between Medtronic regional functional team and local market sales team Work with all stakeholders to develop Strategic Marketing Plans, Market Development Plans, New Product Launches, Marketing Communications, Promotion and Pricing Strategies Organize and conduct product training for sales team, distributors, and healthcare professional as required to ensure all parties are educated to an appropriate level once product launch Prepare sales/marketing materials, clinical papers to ensure field staffs have appropriate tools to use in the field Collect and analyze market information and derive a plan to respond to market situation and competitor’s activities Maintain close liaison with the appropriate Medtronic Operating Units and Marketing team personnel to ensure an up-to-date understanding and knowledge of existing and proposed products Foster and maintain good relationship with clinicians Working with market to develop training programs with key training centers and society Lead country-specific marketing events working with in-country sales team (e.g. conferences, workshops) Inventory management, driving product forecasting exercise and collaborating with key stakeholders to maintain a healthy level of inventory in market Required Knowledge and Experience: University Degree with minimum 5 years of relevant experience or Advanced Degree with a minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the Medical device sales role or product management (medical background is highly preferred) Excellent command of both written and spoken English Highly motivated individual who is comfortable working in a matrix environment Ability to understand business strategy Proven ability to coordinate, plan, organize, monitor, and conclude a project Cross geography collaboration experience may be an advantage Strong analytical skills and ability to extract critical information from database Computer literacy including sound knowledge of the MS Office suite of software Proven evidence of Medtronic Core Behaviors Physical Job Requirements The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position.
