Your role and responsibilities In this role, you will have the opportunity to be responsible for The Technical Specialist for Low Voltage Switchgear Products and is responsible for providing technical knowledge, support, and solutions for ABB's LV Switchgear Products & Panel offerings for partner programming. This role combines deep technical knowledge with customer-facing responsibilities to support business growth, profitability, market share and customer satisfaction. Responsible for identifying and developing new sales opportunities generation. The work model for the role is: #Li-Onsite The role will support for the ABB India Ltd for Electrification Smart Building Business to be based at KOLKATA, India. You will be mainly accountable for: Technical Knowledge & Solution Development Provide technical leadership on Low Voltage products, including ACB, MCCB, MCB, DB, RCCB, SPD, Wiring Accessories, and Building Automation Solutions, while developing technical specifications and ensuring compliance with IEC 61439 standards. Customer Engagement & Technical Consulting Build and maintain good relationships with customers, consultants, and contractors by understanding their requirements and providing appropriate technical solutions and application support. Sales Support & Proposal Management Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, pre-tender discussions, and support the sales team in developing competitive technical proposals and solutions. Technical Leadership & Knowledge Sharing Support knowledge sharing, provide technical guidance to internal teams, build networks for best-practice exchange, and collaborate with product management and marketing teams on new product developments. Governance, Compliance & Safety Ensure adherence to ABB’s Code of Conduct, core values, statutory regulations, and Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) standards while maintaining the highest levels of integrity and compliance in all activities. Qualifications for the role: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with 3–5 years of experience in Low Voltage (LV) Switchgear products, switchboard applications, business development, or sales support functions. Solid knowledge of LV power distribution systems, electrical installations, and applications across Government, Building, Commercial, and Infrastructure projects. Customer-focused professional with well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with customers, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders. Advanced structured and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to evaluate technical requirements and develop appropriate solutions. Solid communication and presentation skills, including the ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and single-line diagrams. Direct experience in product launches, go-to-market strategies, product promotion, branding activities, and managing customer engagement initiatives. Experience in sales planning, managing key activities, tracking performance, and negotiating effectively to contribute to business expansion. Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Salesforce tools, and electrical calculation software, along with a willingness to travel and support business requirements across assigned markets and customer locations.
