Find out more: Our approach to R&D Job Title: Director, DDS Business Enablement & Implementation Job Purpose: Drive the design and delivery of multiple, complex, high-impact initiatives that enhance Drug Development and Supply (DDS) performance, strengthen ways of working, and support organizational readiness for strategic change. As an individual contributor, act as an integrator across functions, ensuring programs, processes, and innovations are translated into tangible impact and sustained adoption. Key Responsibilities: 1. Strategic Program Design & Delivery: Shape, scope, and design major improvement and transformation initiatives aligned to enterprise priorities, ensuring clear outcomes, governance, and success measures. The in/out scope of those programs will be prioritized by the head of the team. We are seeking strategy builders versus pure project or program managers. 2. Enterprise Change Leadership: Lead and engage in structured change approaches (Prosci or equivalent) for Drug Development and Supply (DDS) -wide initiatives, ensuring adoption, behaviour change, and long-term embedding of new processes or capabilities. 3. Performance Enablement: Identify business performance gaps and define targeted interventions—process improvements, capability uplift, or new ways of working—to enable higher-quality delivery. 4. Cross-Functional Partnership: Serve as a trusted partner to functional leads and function-aligned CMC Performance Leads, ensuring alignment, clarity, and informed decision-making. 5. Process Stewardship: Drive the standardization, optimization, and embedding of business processes, ensuring consistency and high-quality execution across Drug Development and Supply (DDS). 6. Capability Building: Support development of organizational capabilities through targeted learning and skill-building initiatives. 7. Risk & Issue Anticipation: Identify potential risks to delivery or adoption and propose proactive mitigation strategies. Basic Qualification: Bachelors degree Experience in program management, business transformation, operational excellence, or organizational change within complex, matrixed environments. Experience designing, scoping, and delivering cross-functional initiatives, including defining outcomes, business value, governance, and performance measures. Experience collaborating with cross-functional leaders in biopharma R&D or Chemistry, Manufacturing & Controls (CMC) on decision-making for programs or initiatives. Experience utilizing productivity and collaboration tools. Preferred Qualification: Advanced degree in Life Sciences, Business, or related field; or equivalent by experience. Experience leading enterprise-level transformation programs in biopharma R&D, preferably CMC. Experience of Chemistry, Manufacturing & Controls (CMC) processes, capabilities, or manufacturing technologies. Experience in translating complex programs into clear and actionable insights through communication and stakeholder management. Experience acting as a chief of staff of a large department or company (300+ people) Consulting experience (such as BCG, McKinsey) within biopharma Strong experience applying structured change leadership / management methodologies (e.g., Prosci/ADKAR) to drive adoption and behavioral change. Experience driving process standardization and optimization, especially in regulated or highly cross-functional environments. Experience designing and facilitating capability-building or organizational development programs. Highly adaptable to new technologies Working Arrangements: • This role offers a hybrid working model, with a mix of on-site and remote work. Remote or fully home-working arrangements are not available for this role. The US salary ranges take into account a number of factors including work location within the US market, the candidate’s skills, experience, education level and the market rate for the role. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program which is dependent on the level of the role.
