The Position Data Scientist Submission Data and Content Generation & Reuse (AIDCG) - Pharma R&D Are you passionate about leveraging cutting-edge artificial intelligence and data science to transform patient care? As a Data Scientist, you will play a pivotal role in leading, developing, and deploying innovative, data-driven solutions to solve complex business problems. This group also pioneers the use of agentic AI to assist in generating, reviewing, and assembling complex submission assets (data and content), aiming to improve quality and reduce authoring timelines. The Opportunity End-to-End Solution Ownership: Lead, develop, and deploy data-driven solutions and predictive models from inception to deployment to tackle complex business challenges. Agentic AI Development: Build specialized AI agents and bespoke multi-agent workflows in a highly regulated GxP environment to support Analytical Data Scientists across the clinical data lifecycle. Independent Problem Solving: Identify analytical opportunities independently and solve complex data problems, ensuring model accuracy and validation with minimal supervision. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Engage directly with business units to understand their data requirements and translate analytical findings into actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strategic Project Leadership: Drive medium-sized data science projects that directly influence key business decisions and align with broader organizational strategies. Data Modeling & Optimization: Work with large, complex datasets to build new predictive models from scratch and optimize existing algorithms for maximum performance. Technical Roadmap Guidance: Frequently contribute to the team’s technical roadmap, balancing hands-on AI/ML development with strategic technical leadership. Process Automation: Develop innovative tools, such as proactive coding debuggers that parse verbose logs and automatically propose code/configuration fixes for complex clinical programming. Who you are Education & Experience: Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field, paired with a minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in data science, predictive modeling, and end-to-end deployment. Project Delivery & Ownership: Proven track record of independently identifying analytical opportunities, leading medium-sized data science projects, and delivering solutions that drive business outcomes. Programming Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Python (for AI/ML backends and agent logic) and R (focused on clinical statistical programming and NextGen toolkits like Admiral); familiarity with SAS is preferred. Generative AI & Agent Frameworks: Hands-on experience building multi-agent architectures using LangChain, LangGraph, AWS AgentCore, and Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers. Advanced RAG Expertise: In-depth knowledge of LLMOps and advanced Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) methodologies, including chunking strategies, embeddings, and GraphRAG. Statistical Modeling & Visualization: Strong foundational expertise in advanced statistical methods, machine learning algorithms, and data visualization techniques to support complex data exploration. Communication & Collaboration: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical partners.
