DESCRIPTION: Be part of our Quality Control team at Thermo Fisher Scientific, where you'll contribute by ensuring the quality and reliability of products that help make the world healthier, cleaner and safer. You'll perform testing and analysis to support the development of innovative therapeutic products. You'll conduct quality control testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products using various analytical techniques. You'll document and analyze test results, participate in investigations, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Perform quality control microbiological testing of raw materials, incoming goods, intermediates, and/or finished products under cGMP conditions for QC release or as part of stability studies. Participate in method transfer, verification, and validation for new product introductions. Conduct monitoring for facility’s utilities systems. Support equipment qualification processes. Perform and coordinate calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment. Assist in aseptic process simulations. Conduct periodic reviews or preparation of new laboratory documents. Lead microbiological inventory required for testing. Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance of laboratory data. Maintain individual training records. Engage in continuous improvement activities. Strictly adhere to cGMP in your area of work. Maintain a 5S approach to HSE and cGMP. Carry out additional tasks as required by the reporting Manager. Support shift work when necessary. Understand and follow emergency procedures and safe work systems. Ensure compliance with environment, health, safety, and security policies and procedures, rules, signage, and instructions at all times. Report and investigate accidents, near misses, and rule breaches promptly. REQUIREMENTS: • Bachelor's degree, 1-2 years experience in quality control laboratory environment, preferably in pharmaceutical/biotech industry • Preferred Fields of Study: Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biology, or related scientific field • Strong knowledge of cGMP, GLP, and quality management systems • Experience with microbiological testing methods and aseptic techniques • Ability to follow SOPs and maintain detailed documentation per GDP requirements • Strong computer skills including LIMS, Microsoft Office, and analytical software • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment • Clear written and verbal communication skills • Experience with laboratory equipment maintenance and calibration • Knowledge of relevant pharmacopeia standards and regulatory requirements • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively • Flexible scheduling may be required • Physical ability to perform laboratory work including PPE usage
