Work Schedule Standard (Mon-Fri) Environmental Conditions Office Job Description Position Summary The Senior Refrigeration Engineer will play a key role in building Suzhou's long-term ULT product capability by supporting product industrialization, system optimization, validation, localization, and future technology development. This role will work closely with Global R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Suppliers, and Service teams to improve product competitiveness, solve complex technical issues, and gradually establish system-level refrigeration expertise within the Suzhou organization. Key Responsibilities Refrigeration System Engineering Analyze and optimize ULT refrigeration system performance. Support compressor selection, matching, and system tuning. Conduct thermal balance, pull-down, energy consumption, and cooling capacity analysis. Drive refrigeration system performance improvement and cost reduction initiatives. Technical Problem Solving Lead root cause investigations for refrigeration-related failures. Support field quality issue resolution and customer escalation analysis. Drive corrective and preventive actions for reliability improvement. NPI & Industrialization Support Alpha, Beta, and Pilot builds. Collaborate with Global R&D on new platform development. Ensure manufacturability and readiness for product launches. Supplier Development & Localization Support localization of refrigeration components and subsystems. Participate in supplier qualification and dual-source initiatives. Conduct technical reviews and capability assessments with suppliers. Validation & Reliability Support performance and reliability testing. Participate in validation planning and test result analysis. Drive continuous improvement based on field feedback and validation findings. AI & Digital Engineering Utilize AI and digital tools to accelerate root cause analysis and technical problem solving. Apply data analytics to identify trends and optimization opportunities. Build digital knowledge repositories for refrigeration system expertise. Support predictive analysis for reliability and field performance. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Refrigeration, Thermal Engineering, HVAC, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. 5+ years of experience in refrigeration system design, development, or application engineering. Experience with ULT, cascade refrigeration systems, compressors, heat exchangers, and refrigeration controls preferred. Strong analytical and troubleshooting capability. Experience with AI-assisted engineering tools, data analytics, or digital engineering workflows preferred. Success Metrics Improve refrigeration-related FPY and field quality performance. Support successful launch of NPI programs. Deliver measurable cost reduction through system optimization and localization. Build internal refrigeration knowledge base and technical standards. Complete at least one AI or data-driven engineering improvement project annually.
