This position reports to: Project Planning & Control Manager __ Your Role and Responsibilities You will have the opportunity to lead the execution of medium voltage switchgear projects and ensure that all related activities are executed in accordance with company procedures, relevant cybersecurity regulations and standards, contract specifications, quality standards, Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements, cost/profitability targets, and scheduling targets. Includes Project Managers assigned to small projects in the service business. You will ensure Projects execution in accordance with contractual and technical requirements, within agreed schedule and budgeted costs. Factory financial performance as well as Customer satisfaction will be your primary targets. In this role, you will drive the excellence in the project execution of the projects assigned to you and contribute to the continuous improvement of the processes. The main internal stakeholders are: product marketing, sales, order handling, planning and fulfillment, production, quality, controlling, industrialization departments. - Work model: #LI-Hybrid In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact, as you will be accountable for: Project Planning, Definition and Control – For each Project assigned you will define, together with Operations, an overall Project plan to meet the contractual delivery date. You will ensure that key milestones are achieved both on the ABB and Customer sides. Your primary goals will be on-time delivery and accurate revenue forecasting for ABB Management. Project Execution – For each assigned project, you will lead the engineering phase by using automated engineering tools and standard product portfolio configurations. Cost Control – You will review the cost estimates, on Projects assigned to you. You will ensure that the budgeted margin is achieved or exceeded, actively seeking cost-saving opportunities. Throughout the project, you will maintain up-to-date cost forecasts. Communication with Customer – You will serve as the primary point of contact for all contractual and commercial matters with the customer. Additionally, you will support the Customer in technical discussions Project Leadership – You will lead the organization toward successful project execution by proactively resolving issues and engaging the appropriate functions and resources. Your approach will focus on effectiveness, collaboration, and results. Contract Management – You will thoroughly understand the contractual obligations of each assigned project and ensure compliance through to cash collection. You will manage and negotiate change orders to reflect any modifications to the original scope of supply. Reporting – You will provide regular updates on project execution status, proactively identifying risks and critical issues that may require management intervention. Qualifications for the Role You have a minimum of 2 years of experience (Project Management, Manufacturing Business, Project Engineering are preferred) Basic knowledge of planning, general contractual conditions and cost control. Customer orientation and negotiation skills Flexible approach to daily activities scheduling, ability to handle urgent situations and contingency effectively. Problem solving and result orientation skills. Innovative, accountable, improvement-driven, agile mindset You have strong communication skills in Italian and English, both written and spoken Innovation mindset by means of digitalization, standardization, simplification and AI Compensation Package As part of our commitment to transparency, we want to share the compensation details for this position: Applicable CBA: Metalmeccanico Minimum annual salary: €39.000,00 Variable Pay: Eligible for Company Productivity Bonus The offer will be tailored based on your role location, experience, skills and qualifications, internal market positioning and alignment with ABB internal standards.
