This position reports to: Category Team Manager __ We are now looking for a new Category Manager to join our team in Motion High Power, Pitäjänmäki, Helsinki. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and implementing the supply chain category strategy for accessories and optional systems used in electric motors and generators. You will find ways to lower costs according to company business targets while ensuring that the required quality level, availability and on-time delivery accuracy are met. The work model for this role is hybrid (#LI-hybrid). You will be mainly accountable for: Ensuring that the suppliers have the capability and capacity to meet current and future business requirements Negotiating contracts with main suppliers including prices, terms and conditions Co-operating with product development and global category management in order to improve efficiency and meet quality and cost targets, considering both local and global needs Our Team DynamicsOur teams support each other, collaborate, and never stop learning. Qualifications for the RoleB.Sc. or M.Sc. level degree from a relevant field, such as mechanical or electrical engineering or industrial management. 3-5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management Demonstrated ability to negotiate complex contracts, pricing models, and commercial terms Skills to evaluate supplier performance, mitigate risks, and develop strategic partnerships Ability to lead change initiatives, such as supplier transitions or cost-saving programs Fluency in English, both written and spoken Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems is considered an asset Knowledge of electric motors and generators is seen as a major advantage More about usThe Large Motors and Generators Division offers a comprehensive product portfolio of large AC motors and generators.
