Job description

This role is part of Accenture Research’s Economics of AI center of excellence. We are looking for a candidate with experience in economic analysis, with fluency in analytical frameworks and quantitative modeling, as well as business acumen and project management. The candidate will be working closely with other teams of economists, data scientists, market researchers, and industry experts to guarantee a successful collaboration between data-driven outputs and storytelling deliverables. The ideal candidate has a passion for economics and data-driven insight discovery as well as business acumen to help solve the world’s most complex problems at the intersection of business, technology, and society. Key Responsibilities include: • Lead the design and execution of economic research projects at the intersection of business and technology, ensuring methodological rigor, timely delivery, and alignment with client and business objectives. • Develop advanced economic models, analytical frameworks, and research methodologies to support client engagements, thought leadership, and internal strategic initiatives around technology transformation, AI adoption, firm productivity, enterprise reinvention, and the future of work. • Translate empirical evidence into strategic insights and actionable recommendations for clients and senior leadership. • Manage multiple research workstreams simultaneously, allocating resources, prioritizing activities, and mitigating delivery risks. • Review and provide quality assurance for research outputs, ensuring analytical accuracy, consistency, and adherence to professional standards. • Collaborate with consulting, strategy, technology, and industry teams to integrate economic insights into multidisciplinary client engagements. • Contribute to business development by identifying research opportunities, developing proposals, participating in client discussions, and supporting thought leadership initiatives. Experience and skills: • Proven experience leading research projects from scoping through execution, quality assurance, and delivery while managing competing priorities. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to present complex economic analyses to senior executives and client stakeholders. • Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, with experience collaborating across multidisciplinary and geographically distributed teams. • Strong analytical skills and a proven ability to make sense out of data. • Excellent understanding of economic modeling tools (e.g., Python) and techniques (cross-section and time-series econometrics) • Experience setting up, running, and validating econometric and structural models • Experience in writing reusable code and datasets • Strong interest in the economic research agenda as well as in themes such as technology innovation and labor markets • Strategic problem solver • Strong professional qualities: client focus, decisiveness, integrity, resilience to stress against stretch goals and deadlines • Ability to work in a global, multi-cultural team • Excellent English. Additional Information Reports to: Economic Research Senior Principal Qualifications: Master's degree in Economics, Applied Economics, Statistics, Data Science, Business Administration, or a closely related quantitative discipline is required. PhD is a plus.
