This Position reports to: Senior Project Lead Engineer Your role and responsibilities In this role, you will have the opportunity to support engineering activities in all types of project sizes and complexities, under the supervision of senior engineers. Each day, you will complete the tasks cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and cybersecurity policies and standards. You will also showcase your expertise by collecting data and supporting production of the engineering design. The work model for the role is: #LI - Onsite This role is contributing to the Automation business area within the Process Industries division in the India-Bangalore (Peenya) region. You will be mainly accountable for: Performing survey work, standard computations, analysis, and basic design tasks. Exercising judgment on limited details of work and on application of standard methods and preparing project documentation within your scope of deliverables. Assisting customers on technical issues and interacting with official contacts, contractors, and other staff within your scope of deliverables. Supporting in communication pertaining to specific assignments or meetings. Participating in workshops related to engineering design, tools, and processes. Qualifications for the role 3-7 years of experience in Load Management Systems, Control & Automation, software development, testing, installation, and commissioning of High Power Rectifier Systems and Rectifier Transformers. Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or related Engineering disciplines, with experience delivering automation solutions in process industries. Highly skilled in ABB 800xA Platform, Rectifier Control Systems, and industrial automation solutions supporting Aluminum, Copper, Zinc, and Caustic Chlorine process industries Possess solid knowledge of ABB 800xA, Control Builder, SCADA, RTU, Power Management Systems (PMS), and industrial communication protocols such as IEC61850, OPC, Modbus, and Modbus TCP/IP. Passionate about developing and optimizing PMS and Rectifier libraries, with hands-on experience in IED engineering, protection relay applications, and electrical system commissioning. Comfortable with 70-80% Pan-India travel and are at ease communicating in English with strong verbal and written communication skills.
