The Opportunity This position is field-based in Ontario. The ideal candidate will be based in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). As a member of our Market Access team, you will be accountable for identifying and executing pricing and negotiation strategies for the portfolio of products and play an active role in pCPA and private payer negotiations to execute listing agreements and drive identification of pricing opportunities in various markets. You provide expertise, leadership and guidance through process improvement, interactive communication and cross-functional collaboration. You build a variety of strategies, support scenario analysis as part of the market access and brand planning process, and provide insights and guidance on emerging trends, challenges and opportunities in the pricing, contracting and related market access areas aligned to our strategic direction. What You’ll Do Provide subject matter expertise to the market access team as well as the local and North America organization on Canadian and provincial pricing regulations and requirements for all diabetes care products Applies brand knowledge and pricing expertise to build and implement pricing strategies to maximize commercial contribution for assigned portfolio across the lifecycle including launch, negotiations, loss of exclusivity and divestiture Work with market access and stakeholder relations managers to develop financial models supporting proposed pricing strategies & identify opportunities for innovative pricing constructs Actively participate in pCPA, provincial and private payer negotiations for diabetes care products to optimize the commercialization of existing or emerging products Lead negotiation of product listing agreements and product listings, while balancing speed and value Support team to ensure contracts are compliant and aligned with corporate and legal requirements Track performance against contractual terms and KPIs Collaborate with market access team on the design, negotiation, and implementation of innovative contracting solutions Support lifecycle management of agreements, ensuring performance tracking and optimization Identify opportunities for novel reimbursement models and strategic collaborations Responsible for securing local and NA approval for product portfolio price strategies (list, net) and ensuring public and private payer contract terms and conditions support organizational objectives Communicate complex issues and challenges clearly and appropriately to internal and external partners Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or life sciences 5 or more years related pharmaceutical industry experience Understanding of pricing opportunities and considerations in various markets such as public, private, hospital, public health, etc. Proven experience leading payer negotiations Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data and translate insights into actionable strategies Strong analytical skills – forecasting, financial modelling, business impact analysis and database management Experience with Canadian payer environment, pCPA, provinces and private Strong interpersonal, communication and time management, prioritization skills and attention to detail. You enjoy working and collaborating with all levels of the organization and can influence across the enterprise Demonstrated ability to operate strategically and influence at a senior level Excellent oral, written, and analytical skills with demonstrated experience required in scenario planning, decision-making and solution development The annual base salary for this position ranges from $134,000.00 to $170,000.00 CAD. The salary range provided applies to Canada only and does not apply to any other locations outside of Canada.
