Scientist, Multispecifics Engineering, AbbVie Bioresearch Center Inc., Worcester, MA. Onsite (onsite 5 days per week). Key Responsibilities Support biologics drug discovery through production & engineering of multispecific antibodies. Execute multispecifics design, molecular cloning/plasmid design, protein expression & purification workflows related to multispecifics, & coordinate sample handoffs for assays. Characterize therapeutic proteins using analytical techniques such as SEC, MS, & DSF. Analyze, document & present data in group settings. Education & Experience Must possess a MS in biology, biomedical engineering or related field & 2 years of biopharmaceutical industry &/or relevant academic research experience. Of the experience required, must have 2 years: handling bacterial & mammalian cell culture; performing purification of proteins, biologics and multi-specifics and conducting in vitro characterization using techniques, including SEC, MS, DSF, with related data analysis; utilizing sequence analysis tools & performing standard molecular biology techniques including plasmid prep, PCR, & molecular cloning; working in a matrixed organization, preparing & presenting written & oral scientific presentations for stakeholders, & managing multiple on-going projects. Alternatively, would accept a Bachelors in biology, bioengineering or related field & 5 years of biopharmaceutical industry &/or relevant academic research experience. Of experience required, must have 5 years of (i), (ii), (iii), & (iv). Work experience may be gained concurrently. Will accept reasonable combination of education, training & experience.
