Job Function: Finance Job Sub Function: Payroll Job Category: People Leader All Job Posting Locations: Bogotá, Distrito Capital, Colombia Job Description: Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a Payroll Supervisor (Fixed-Term - 12 months) position to be based in Bogota, Colombia. Responsibilities: Supervises daily activities of payroll coordinators and specialists. Ensures timely and accurate processing of system wide payroll for all locations and employees by supervising the payroll function. Reviews and implements with the Tax department guidelines ensure compliance with all local government regulatory reporting requirements including quarterly government filings, annual reporting and yearend employee legal filing forms. Suggests policies and procedures designed to improve business processes within the department. Oversees maintenance of payroll system. Supervises the preparation of filing of required reports and/or payments to government agencies, insurance carriers, other organizations and individual employees. Communicates and reinforces metrics used to benchmark performance, improve processes and productivity to staff. Responds to complex inquiries and resolves difficult issues. Hires, trains, supervises and reviews performance of all assigned staff. Makes recommendations for staff salary changes as appropriate. Qualifications: A minimum of 6 years of prior experience in HR or Finance operation is required. (Americas Region) A minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role is required. Knowledge of payroll LAS (Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, EC and PE) (processes, regulations, vendor landscape, etc.). Strong English language verbal and written communication skills is required. Research and problem-solving skills required. Ability to think strategically, make recommendations to leadership, and in some cases, serve as the decision-maker for payroll administration topics Cultural awareness and an ability to work with a multitude of people across multiple markets assigned. Prior experience with payroll processes as well as month end, quarter end or year-end payroll returns or remittances, procedures, controls, regulations, and compliance is required. Knowledge and/or experience with the Leading Third-Party Payroll Providers (ADP, NGA, SDWorx, etc.) Prior experience in a multi-national company, and/or experience in Finance/HR Shared Services preferred. Prior experience in e-Time, Kronos, Salesforce Service Cloud, SAP, Workday is preferred. Knowledge and/or experience with Knowledge Management artifacts such as Desktop Procedures (DTPs) and proficiency with Compliance requirements (SOX and Business Controls) is required. Demonstrated understanding of AI concepts and frameworks, including awareness of responsible and ethical AI practices, and experience generating effective prompts to boost efficiency and productivity.
