DESCRIPTION: Join our collaborative team as a Senior Manager of Market Development at Thermo Fisher Scientific, where you'll develop global marketing strategies and drive demand generation for our innovative scientific solutions. In this key role, you'll lead the development and execution of integrated marketing programs that connect our advanced products with customers who are advancing science and healthcare worldwide. Working in a matrix organization, you'll collaborate across functions to develop and implement customer-centric marketing strategies that drive business growth. You'll analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and create compelling campaigns that resonate with our target audiences while achieving revenue goals and strengthening our market position. This impactful position requires strong leadership skills to guide cross-functional teams, engage stakeholders, and build partnerships across the organization. You'll develop our go-to-market approach while ensuring alignment with business objectives and our mission of enabling customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: The Senior Manager, Market Development qPCR consumables, will lead the global market development for our real-time PCR (qPCR) consumables (master mixes and assays) and will be responsible for setting the strategic direction and driving tactical implementation of activities and deliverables supporting the business objectives. This individual will drive all aspects of our marketing efforts for qPCR reagents and qPCR assays businesses across core customer segments, leading a team of 3+ marketing professionals and focusing on the following areas: Product Launch Execution: working in close collaboration with product management and regional marketing, lead the team to develop and execute launch plans for new qPCR consumables products. Provide guidance to translate GTM into product launch plans and tactical execution. Set targets, measure, and iterate based on results. Product Marketing: Develop marketing strategy and oversee plans to drive the growth of on-market qPCR consumables. Monitor competition and address competitive threats. Gather customer and commercial input and refine positioning, value propositions, and marketing plans as appropriate. Demand Generation: Identify opportunities to create demand for on-market and new products and execute marketing activities to drive demand. Set and monitor demand generation targets and hold team accountable for meeting targets. Refine programs as necessary to increase demand generation. Leads market development efforts for qPCR consumables applications in academic, translational, pharma/biotech, OEM, and other segments to identify and develop new opportunity areas and help drive key strategic wins. Partners with product management, regional marketing, and global market development across qPCR and GSD to develop programs to drive consumables growth. Maximizes ROI on marketing campaigns through consistent “best practice” operating mechanisms and utilization (and continued improvement) of division-wide marketing gate approval process and reporting function that can track, measure and analyze performance. Ensures continued focus on productivity. Increasing efficacy, efficiency while reducing costs of marketing tactics and programs. Utilizes marketing skills and expertise to build, develop and manage a marketing team capable of carrying out the necessary marketing strategies and tactics. REQUIREMENTS: • Advanced Degree plus 6 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 8 years of experience in marketing with demonstrated success in strategic planning and execution • Preferred Fields of Study: Marketing, Business, Life Sciences, or related field • 3+ years of people management experience leading teams • Deep understanding of marketing fundamentals including segmentation, positioning, and integrated campaign development • Strong analytical skills with ability to derive insights from market data and metrics • Demonstrated success in digital marketing across multiple channels (web, social, email, search) • Experience developing and executing successful product launches and go-to-market strategies • Excellent project management abilities with track record of delivering results in matrix environment • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills • Proven ability to build relationships and collaborate across functions and geographies • Experience in life sciences, biotech, pharmaceutical or related scientific industries preferred • Proficiency with marketing automation platforms, CRM systems, and analytics tools • Strong business acumen with customer-centric mindset • Ability to travel up to 25% as required Compensation and Benefits The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $130,000.00–$194,950.00. This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
