The Engineering and Cloud Services team at ADI is responsible for building and supporting this infrastructure both in the cloud and on-prem. About the Role Engineering and Cloud Services team at ADI is looking for a Senior Technical Writer with strong expertise in technical communication, content strategy, and stakeholder collaboration. The ideal candidate will not only develop high-quality documentation but also drive content strategy, influence standards, and mentor writers. This role requires the ability to operate independently, manage complex documentation ecosystems, and continuously improve how content is created, structured, and delivered across ADI. Key Responsibilities Content Development & Ownership Develop and own end-to-end documentation for complex tools, systems, and workflows Create high-quality technical content in multiple formats (guides, KBs, FAQs, videos, walkthroughs) Ensure consistency, usability, and scalability of content across documentation spaces Technical Validation & Quality Assurance Independently validate content against product functionalities and workflows Collaborate closely with SMEs to ensure accuracy, completeness, and technical depth Establish and enforce quality benchmarks and review processes Content Strategy & Governance Define, implement, and evolve content strategy frameworks for documentation Standardize content structures, templates, and style guidelines Drive adoption of best practices in modular, reusable, and scalable documentation Stakeholder Collaboration Act as the primary interface between Engineering and Cloud Services team, engineering teams, and global stakeholders Gather requirements, analyze user needs, and translate them into effective documentation solutions Work independently with geographically distributed teams and SMEs Innovation & Experience Enhancement Introduce and scale multi-format content solutions (videos, infographics, interactive learning) Improve content discoverability and user experience in documentation platforms (e.g., Confluence) Identify opportunities to optimize workflows using tools and automation Leadership & Mentorship Mentor junior writers and guide them on writing standards, tools, and processes Provide structured feedback and contribute to capability building within the team Lead initiatives to continuously improve documentation maturity within EE Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s or Engineering degree in any discipline (preferably Information Science, Electronics, or Computer Applications) 7–10 years of experience in technical writing (preferably in semiconductor/EDA domain) Strong expertise in technical writing principles, content architecture, and documentation tools Excellent command of the English language (written and verbal) Required Skills Ability to understand and simplify complex technical concepts Deep understanding of content strategy, information architecture, and user-centric design Experience creating multi-format deliverables (videos, infographics, guided flows) Strong stakeholder management and communication skills Experience working with global, cross-functional teams Ability to work independently and drive initiatives end-to-end Technical Skills (Preferred) Working knowledge of: CSS, HTML (for documentation customization) UNIX/Linux environments Familiarity with: Documentation platforms (e.g., Confluence) Content reuse frameworks and structured authoring Workflow and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira) Domain Knowledge Strong awareness of Software development and Cloud technologies and workflows. Strong awareness of Electronic Design Automation (EDA) / semiconductor workflows Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tools, systems, and engineering environments For positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export licensing approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce - Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the U.S. Department of State - Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.
