This position reports to: Marketing & Sales Manager __ The work model for the role is: hybrid/ LI #Hybrid Key responsibilities Responsible for the sale of products, systems, and services within the Commercial & Industrial Building segment, in line with the industry segment strategy. Achieves both qualitative and quantitative sales targets to ensure sustainable order growth, revenue, profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction. Responsible to identify and develop new sales opportunities within the Commercial & Industrial Building segment. You will be mainly accountable for: Sells products, systems, and services to customers in the Commercial & Industrial Building segment, focusing on volume, mix, and profitability targets. Establishes and maintains effective customer relationships with planning offices, general contractors, investors, and operators of commercial and industrial buildings to understand their needs, promotes their understanding of ABB's complete product, systems, and services offering, and aligns with them to provide a solution. Ensures a positive customer experience throughout the sales process and prepares sales plans using ABB authorized tools. Creates added value for the customer and ABB and ensures the successful outcome of transactions, contracts, and proposals by using effective sales techniques. Communicates to customers about the details related to delivery time, payments, and general terms and conditions, in line with ABB's offering and strategy. Identifies and drives the development of new market opportunities in the Commercial & Industrial Building segment, particularly in the areas of new construction projects, modernization, and energy-efficient refurbishment. Manages administrative procedures in sales processes and supports data collection and project management activities, when needed. Prepares offers in coordination with the bid and proposal department and/or the Marketing Manager. Ensures appropriate technical and financial aspects of offers are in place, including prices and trading conditions. Monitors and analyzes market trends, competitive activities, and regulatory requirements within the Commercial & Industrial Building segment. Coordinates with internal stakeholders (e.g., Account Managers, FAEs, Specification Experts) to ensure optimal customer support and project execution. Qualifications for the role Bachelor’s degree minimum with 5+ years in Commercial & Industrial Building segment. Strong strategic and market intelligence skills; ability to identify trends and convert them into actionable go-to-market plans. Expertise in Portfolio Management, Business Strategy, and Market Intelligence, including go-to-market planning and customer experience success across multiple Business Areas. Excellent communication skills in German and English; high personal integrity and reliability. Ability to work effectively nationwide in a hybrid/remote setup and to travel within Germany as needed.
