This Position reports to: Quality Control Manager Your role and responsibilities In this role, you will have the opportunity to assist local unit in developing the necessary capabilities to effectively control products and systems. Each day, you will ensure compliance with internal, customer, and industry requirements within a cost-effective and safe working environment. You will also showcase your expertise by participating in the development and implementation of standards and test methods to ensure only compliant products, software, and services are released to the customer. The work model for the role is: #LI_Onsite This role is contributing to the Motion business for High Power division based in Vadodara: You will be mainly accountable for:Conducting test protocols, as assigned, to ensure products, systems, or software meet specified requirements and customer expectations in incoming, manufacturing, factory test labs, or final inspection quality, including internal testing routine and Factory Acceptance Testing (F.A.T.) as applicable. Supporting quality control needs and activities for supplier quality, production quality, testing and validation, and engineering, as applicable in the local organization. Executing and assisting specific quality-related training, promoting a passion for quality and integrity in all actions, with a focus on result orientation. Collecting, recording, and evaluating data to be interpreted according to the internal ABB specifications, customer norms, and applicable national and/or global standards while maintaining a high level of integrity. Handling the customer inspections and analyze customer complaints and initiate Preventive Actions, align quality processes as per customer requirements through process audits & mistake proofing methods. Collect and maintains data on key performance indicators i.e. Cost of Poor Quality, process audits and customer complaints. Perform periodic internal process audits to check the compliance of activities with requirements, procedures, and directives. Prepares non-conformity reports and investigates their resolution. Qualifications for the role Full time Degree in Electrical engineering with 2 to 4 years’ experience in testing of Induction motor /Rotating Machines/generators. Knowledgeable about the key manufacturing process of Induction motor. Should be able to handle external customers. Knowledgeable about induction motors and synchronous generator testing methods. Ensures integrity and compliance with ABB values and ethics in all activities. Demonstrates an understanding of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) terms, concept application, reporting, and risks.
