Purpose: The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for obtaining market share by defining and penetrating the markets, identifying opportunities and prospects, and developing relationships to meet or exceed sales growth and profit targets. Sales Growth & Acquisition: Identify, qualify, and pursue new prospective accounts in Distribution channels while maintaining existing customers. Proactively engage with prospects and effectively articulate value propositions to meet or exceed customer requirements and profit targets. Service existing and prospective customers through regular visits and correspondence. Strategy & Intelligence: Define competitor market share, advantages, and weaknesses to gather marketing intelligence and analyze product performance. Participate in annual planning and sales forecasting, ensuring objectives support organization business plans. Prepare opportunity lists with monthly updates and track sales-related data. Field Operations & Team Leadership: Manage independent sales agents in a team environment to meet results-focused goals. Perform adhesive trials and problem-solving in the field with technical proficiency. Manage trade show exhibits and participate in professional organizations/societies. Required Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s degree preferred. 8+ years of successful sales experience with 5+ years in sales management preferred. Experience selling reactive, silicone, or water-based adhesives through Commercial Distribution and OEM channels. Proven experience in industrial, residential, and commercial building construction markets. Willingness and ability to travel by air and automobile up to 75%. Professional Skills & Competencies: Expert business acumen and financial skills; ability to understand long-term consequences. Advanced negotiation and coaching skills for developing sales team talent. Skilled in territory analysis, growth strategy development, and needs assessment. Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills across all management levels. Proficient in Microsoft Office and calculating complex figures (discounts, percentages, etc.). Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
