JOB DESCRIPTION:Primary Job Function The role leads the Compensation and Benefits function for a designated business segment of Abbott India, serving as a strategic advisor to HR and business leadership on compensation, benefits, wellness, and workforce rewards strategies. It also leads the C&B products such as Benefits, Wellness, Compliances, Compensation analytics or salary structures for all India businesses as a product cutting across all business divisions. Core Job Responsibilities The role is responsible for Compensation and Benefits function for a business segment in India HR and will partner with internal clients (HR and Business Leaders) to design, review and update compensation and benefits policies and processes through internal and external feedback to attract, motivate and retain employees. Compensation Consulting: Serve as trusted advisory to HR and business leaders providing regular compensation and benefits consulting support and ensuring all decisions and actions related to C&B are in line with Abbott philosophy and guidelines. Provide recommendations and support decision making for job evaluations and various pay actions (job offers, promotions, equity increases, bonus buyouts, etc.) by utilizing survey sources, market references, internal equity, and other data as appropriate to support the business in ensuring correct pay and grade fitment for roles. Compensation Benchmarking & Salary Structures Drive market benchmarking using multiple survey sources and external market intelligence to assess competitiveness of compensation programs. Develop, review, and revise salary structures and pay ranges to support internal equity and market competitiveness. Support annual compensation planning activities including salary reviews, incentive planning, and pay governance processes. Analyze market trends and emerging compensation practices to recommend enhancements to compensation programs and policies. Benefits & Wellness Drive benefits and wellness programs across all businesses for India. These include Retirals, Insured benefits, Flexible benefits, Car Benefit to ensure the organization has competitive, market aligned and cost-effective benefits policies and practices for India region (India, Nepal and Sri Lanka). Review and renew benefits policies including negotiations with vendors. Provide support in recommending appropriate changes in harmonization of benefits, policies and processes as required during business acquisitions. Review, design and drive implementation of Benefits Communication Strategy for the organization including the digital strategy on the local HR portal. Create, review, and program-manage the India Wellness Strategy, ensuring effective implementation of agreed initiatives and annual publication of the India Wellness Calendar. Responsible for managing vendors supporting Employee Assistance Program, Health Screening, Condition Management Programs etc. Is responsible of creating metrics on Benefits and Wellness programs and assume informal/formal leadership role within teams while Project Managing (viz. India Wellness Program) for cross functional teams. Data analytics and dashboarding Develop and maintain compensation, benefits, wellness, and compliance dashboards to provide actionable insights for leadership decision-making. Establish and monitor KPIs and effectiveness metrics for compensation, benefits, and wellness programs. Analyze relevant data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Leverage advanced analytics to identify compensation, benefits, and workforce trends, providing insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making and India, APAC and global stakeholders. C&B Initiatives & Projects: Manages special compensation and benefits projects including driving global integration, re-organizations and harmonization projects, etc. Compliance and Governance: Drive governance and statutory C&B compliances across the organization, including labor law compliance, minimum wage adherence, implementation of regulatory changes, and establishment of robust compensation and benefits governance frameworks. Supervisory/Management Responsibilities The role reports to Director - Compensation and Benefits, India Region Managerial / Supervisory responsibility, with 1 direct report Qualification & Experience 10+ years of progressive HR experience with expertise in compensation and benefits. Ideally a mix of consulting and industry background is preferred. Knowledge of fundamental aspects of compensation (base pay, LTI programs, annual incentive programs etc.) is essential In depth knowledge of benchmarking, salary structure, benefits and wellness in a large corporate setup.
