Read more: careers.bms.com/working-with-us. Role Purpose The Director will lead the establishment and operation of the Global Costing Center of Excellence (COE) within PDS Finance. The Global Costing Centre of Excellence will provide focused leadership for product costing across our network, helping drive greater standardization, consistency, and transparency in end-to-end costing processes. It will simplify ways of working, improve the quality and reliability of costing insights, accelerate the use of data, digital tools, and automation to support faster and smarter decisions across PDS and the enterprise. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership - Define and implement the global costing vision and roadmap aligned with company objectives and the needs of the PDS Finance Organization. - Establish governance and standards for costing processes across internal sites and external supply chains. - Ensure global costing policies are aligned with the changing needs or the business, delivering consistency, compliance, and alignment with business strategy. Process Standardization & Optimization - Drive simplification and harmonization of costing methodologies and workflows. - Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies. - Champion the adoption of ERP platforms, AI-driven analytics, and automation tools to enhance costing accuracy and efficiency. - Collaborate with IT and Digital teams to integrate advanced technologies into costing processes. Cost & Inventory Accounting - Oversee all cost and inventory accounting activities, including: - Product costing for internal and external manufacturing. - Consolidated cost reporting across global operations. - Production variances reporting, analysis and resolution. - Deferrals accounting. - Coordination of Intercompany profit (ICP) tracking and release. - FP&A support for cost-related insights and decision-making. Stakeholder Engagement - Partner with PDS Operations, Global Supply Chain, Finance, and Commercial teams to ensure costing supports strategic decisions. - Act as a trusted advisor on cost impacts for business development, new product introductions, supply chain changes, and operational initiatives. Talent Development - Build and lead a high-performing team within the COE. - Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. Qualifications & Experience Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or professional certification (CIMA, CPA) preferred. Experience: - Minimum 10+ years in Finance with strong exposure to product costing and manufacturing finance. - Proven track record of leading global process transformation and simplification initiatives. - Experience in developing teams across multiple geographic locations, delivering strong talent pipelines - Experience managing through the matrix both on the operational and finance side. - Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred), digital tools, and AI applications in finance. Skills: - Deep understanding of costing principles and manufacturing finance. - Strong leadership, influencing, and change management capabilities. - Strong people management and talent development capabilities. - Analytical mindset with ability to leverage data for insights and decision-making.
