Role Overview The Doctor’s Channel (TDC) — part of Uniphar’s US Pharma division — is seeking a Director, HCP Medical Content & MLR Submissions to lead the development, scientific integrity, and regulatory approval of physician-facing (HCP) video content. This is a rare, hybrid role that blends advanced medical and scientific expertise with hands-on creative and video production leadership. Reporting to the Managing Director of The Doctor’s Channel, the successful candidate will translate complex clinical and scientific concepts into compelling, compliant video scripts and storyboards; brief and direct medical script writers; and own the medical, legal, and regulatory (MLR) submission process end-to-end through Veeva Vault PromoMats. They will also support video production from pre-production through the shoot to post-production, and serve as a client-facing partner on set during shoots across the United States. The ideal candidate uniquely combines an advanced scientific background, medical writing experience, and Veeva Vault PromoMats / MLR expertise with a genuine passion for HCP video storytelling and production. Key Responsibilities Serve as the medical and scientific subject-matter expert for HCP video content, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and compliance across all scripts, storyboards, and finished assets. Communicate effectively with medical script writers — clearly explaining each video script’s goals, any visuals, and tone — and provide all assets and resources the writer needs. Review, revise, and create addendums to medical video scripts and storyboards using the clinical and scientific terminology of the HCP world. Develop HCP medical video content and take it through the full approval lifecycle, from concept to final sign-off. Own the MLR submission process end-to-end in Veeva Vault PromoMats — preparing, submitting, and managing content through medical, legal, and regulatory review to approval. Support video production across all phases — pre-production, production, and post-production — ensuring scientific and medical integrity is maintained throughout. Act as a client-facing partner on video shoots, representing The Doctor’s Channel professionally and providing scientific and creative guidance on set. Travel throughout the United States as required for video shoots and client engagements. Key Outcomes HCP video content that is scientifically accurate, on-brand, and cleared through MLR with minimal avoidable rework or delay. Faster, smoother MLR cycles enabled by disciplined Veeva Vault PromoMats management and complete submission ownership. Medical script writers and production teams consistently equipped with clear briefs, assets, and scientific direction. A positive, confident client experience on set and throughout content development. Scalable medical content capability that supports The Doctor’s Channel’s growing video production volume and MLR cycles. Skills & Experience Able to effectively communicate with medical script writers to explain a video script’s goals, any visuals and tone, and provide all assets and resources for the writer. Familiarity with the medical, clinical, and scientific terminology of the HCP world, with the ability to make revisions and addendums to a medical video script/storyboard. Experience developing and taking through approval HCP medical video content. Experience and familiarity with video production, from pre-production to post-production. Medical writing experience. Experience with MLR submissions, including Veeva Vault PromoMats expertise. Ability to travel throughout the United States approximately 25% of the time. Good client-facing skills, especially on a video shoot. Preferred Experience and familiarity with film shoots, including technology/gear, crew roles, and processes. Advanced medical or scientific degree (e.g., PhD, PharmD, or MD). Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, etc.). Key Competencies Scientific rigor and meticulous attention to detail. Creative storytelling and strong visual thinking. Regulatory and compliance orientation (MLR). Clear cross-functional communication and collaboration. Client relationship management and strong on-set presence. Adaptability, commitment, and resilience in a fast-paced production environment. Ownership and accountability from concept through approval.
