Mission and responsibilities As Squad Lead, you lead Roche's strategy across a defined disease area(s) and support the relevant teams that implement Roche's solutions in Ireland. Working closely with disease area teams, you translate global strategies into local strategies and activities, connecting field insights to squad strategy and broader ecosystem dynamics. Acting as a peer partner to our Customer Engagement Lead(s), you inspire cross-functional collaboration, drive outcomes-based planning, and ensure every initiative is grounded in delivering value for patients. Reporting to the Head of Commercial, your key responsibilities will include: Strategy & Outcomes Accountable for the development and implementation of strategy and outcomes-based plans in support of overall business goals, ensuring the vision, ambitions and outcomes for each disease area are in place. Enabling outcomes-based planning, with a timely cadence of planning meetings and impact retrospectives, and fostering a creative feedback culture across the team. Cross-Functional & Ecosystem Leadership Inspiring team collaboration within and across disease area teams, prioritising engagement and identity to build healthy, high-performing team dynamics. Acting as a trusted partner with external stakeholders, removing roadblocks and co-creating solutions that unlock value for patients. Mobilising the network with speed to meet urgent stakeholder needs, and maintaining effective relations with global and regional functions and colleagues across other affiliates. Commercial & Resource Enablement Supporting and collaborating with relevant commercial roles to ensure accurate brand forecasts, fostering strong communication across functions. Enabling resource prioritisation through an enterprise mindset, taking into account affiliate strategy and portfolio priorities. Coaching & Capability Building Providing coaching and mentorship in relevant areas of expertise (e.g. patient journeys, commercial capabilities, ecosystem engagement), supporting the development of others across cross-functional teams. Identifying and supporting the development of skills and capabilities across the organisation to realise our collective ambition. This role is primarily office-based, with ad-hoc external engagement expected. Who you are You are a systems thinker with a strategic mindset and a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams using VACC principles. You bring an excellent understanding of the healthcare ecosystem, and you're capable of identifying opportunities beyond the product to generate customer value-based insights. You communicate with impact and influence, and you build trust and inspire collaboration among diverse stakeholders, internally and externally. In addition, you bring the following skills & experience: Prior experience in strategy, sales, marketing, business development, market access, or customer ecosystem engagement. Pharmaceutical experience is preferred. A deep understanding of business drivers, the local market and competitive landscape is a plus. Proven experience coaching and mentoring, helping the development of others. Demonstrated ability to build trust and inspire teamwork and collaboration. Experience leading and/or working in an agile environment. Launch and lifecycle excellence capability, with a focus on maximising value across new and established patient journeys. Strong networking capability, both internal and external. University degree (scientific, economic or business). An advanced degree in Life Science and/or MBA is a plus. You take personal responsibility for maintaining high ethical standards and operating in compliance with local and global Roche policies, including the Roche Group Code of Conduct, Quality Management System and the IPHA Code of Practice for the Pharmaceutical Industry.
