The PositionCommunications and Public Affairs Business Partner Reporting to the Head of Communications and Public Affairs, Asia Pacific, you will develop and execute integrated communication strategies that engage external and internal audiences, aligning with divisional, regional, and Group priorities. Operating within a highly regulated and dynamic healthcare landscape, you will partner with regional leaders to drive comprehensive external relations, change management communications, and integrated launch excellence communications. You will translate complex business strategies into compelling messaging that influences stakeholders, protects Roche’s reputation, and drives tangible business impact. To deliver on this, you rely on effective teamwork and collaboration within the broader Diagnostics and Pharma Communications community in the region and with global teams. The opportunity Partner closely with business leaders and cross-functional teams to design and execute integrated launch excellence communications plans for key disease areas and product launches, to drive commercial readiness and success. Define and develop the public affairs strategy for the region, working closely with the Access and Policy team to amplify strategic initiatives while actively supporting affiliate-level activities. Localise, cascade, and implement change management communications strategies that help the organization navigate ambiguity, and align with new ways of working. Provide effective crises and issues counsel and communications support. Maintain broad-based knowledge of the organization and its operations; use knowledge of business and communications insights, metrics, expertise, and operating principles to effectively communicate complex topics to key stakeholders. Translate the business and Global Communications vision and strategy into relevant local projects and initiatives supported by careful planning and concrete measurements. Who you are Extensive experience in external relations, specifically in media relations and issues and crisis management. Experience in integrated communications and / or Public Affairs programme planning and execution. Experience dealing with national and local, professional/trade associations, industry partners and other stakeholder organisations. Demonstrated ability to develop successful partnerships with senior executives. Demonstrated experience navigating a highly regulated and dynamic industry. Proven track record of working closely with business leaders and senior executives to influence decision-making and drive integrated business goals. Outstanding interpersonal and partnering skills: proven track record of building strong and sustainable relationships with internal and external stakeholders and experience working effectively in a networked, matrix environment.
