In the role of Information Research (IR) Mergers & Acquisition (M&A) Integration Lead, key member of the IR Integration Management Office (IMO), you will join a diverse, global team that invests in your customized career growth and uses technology and data to positively impact people’s lives. This role represents the BTS-Information Research (IR) organization as the overall IR M&A Integration Lead working directly with cross-functional R&D business and cross-functional BTS teams to execute deal transactions to further grow AbbVie’s Therapeutic Areas. This role performs as the primary IR M&A Integration Lead responsible for planning and executing deals addressing cross-functional dependencies to achieve AbbVie’s desired end-state operating model as we integrate or divest companies. Additionally, you will add your unique experience to an employee-driven culture with vibrant Employee Resource Groups and a passion for equity, equality, inclusion, and diversity that reflects the diversity of our communities and the patients and customers we serve. ​​Mergers & Acquisitions (M&As) include multiple types of transactions that require BTS and IR leadership. “M&A” transactions include R&D Ventures, Partnerships & Alliances, Co-Promotion, Co-Development, Divesting Products and/or Sites, Plant Acquisitions and Divestitures, and Full Company Acquisitions. ​This is a critical role in partnering with leadership to further define the strategy to evolve BTS’s M&A organization, services, and playbooks for the various types of M&A deals. This will include cross-functional engagement and leadership across the BTS organization and working with AbbVie’s business leaders, Search and Evaluation, Business Development, and our Transition Office. Responsibilities: ​​Perform as the IR M&A Integration Lead over multiple AbbVie company-wide and R&D deal transactions responsible for overall program health, financials, and reporting. ​For each deal, establish the cross-functional IR team fully accountable to integrate or divest people, data, and systems. ​Develops business relationships and integrates activities with other BTOs to ensure successful integration execution and support of project efforts into long term execution. Manage relationships between BTOs, R&D Business, and Finance to ensure effective communication between the groups is occurring. Brokers services within BTS on behalf of customers; coordinates portfolio of solutions and identifies interdependencies. ​Work with the R&D business and BTS functional leads to clearly define business decisions, solution options and recommendations for a given deal based on deal model, size, complexity, risk, and speed to business value. ​Allies with other BTOs to remain current on project status, and inform management and stakeholders of progress; conversely, keeps managers and stakeholders aware of user issues and resolves conflicts proactively ​Responsible for escalating and driving risks and issues cross-functionally. ​Presenting IR updates in IR Leadership forums and R&D Integration Forums ​Continuous improvement projects to drive speed and agility in BTS M&A services and capabilities. Identify and implement AI innovative solutions and capabilities to challenge status quo and bring value to the business faster. ​Responsible for compliance with BTS’s SLC, Corporate and Divisional policies and procedures.​​ Required: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science or related discipline with 7 years’ experience; Master's Degree with 6 years’ experience; PhD with 2 years’ experience. ​Respective years of experience leading a portfolio of business applications and leading large, complex cross-functional global IT implementations with strong financial management experience ​Respective years of experience working on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and collaboration. ​Skilled in leveraging generative and agentic AI to re-image or improve a process or capability. Led and implemented multiple projects that drove speed, efficiencies, and/or cost savings. ​Experience working with R&D business applications such as Veeva solutions, LIMS, ELN systems, clinical trial systems (i.e.: CTMS), scientific data management platforms, laboratory systems, research portfolio management tools, and document management systems. ​Strong Project Management, Stakeholder Engagement, Financial Management, Business Systems Applications and delivering complex cross-functional global programs.​​ Preferred: ​6+ years’ experience leading a portfolio of business applications and leading large, complex cross-functional global IT implementations with strong financial management experience ​6+ years’ experience working on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and collaboration.
