Work Schedule Third Shift (Nights) Environmental Conditions Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance, Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards, Cleanroom: no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair etc... allowed, Laboratory Setting, Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.), Strong Odors (chemical, lubricants, biological products etc.), Will work with hazardous/toxic materials Job Description Pay Rate: $20.00 3rd Shift - Monday to Friday 10:30pm-7:00am As part of the Thermo Fisher Scientific team, you’ll discover meaningful work that makes a positive impact on a global scale. Location/Division Specific Information: This position is located at our Staley Rd facility in Grand Island, where we support critical patient and medical needs in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. A Day in the Life: Manufacture products that directly impact medical needs and patient care Work collaboratively with your team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Grow your skills and gain hands-on experience with production equipment and processes across various areas of the facility Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Formal training in Lean, 5S, or manufacturing processes is preferred. Experience1+ years of experience in a Good Manufacturing Practice environment, manufacturing or related field is required. 2+ years of experience in a fast-paced work environment is strongly preferred. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: General understanding of technical, mechanical, and machinery equipment is preferred. Basic computer skills are required. Strong attention to detail for complex instructions and documentation while maintaining quality output. Demonstrated proficiency in multiple processes in a fast-paced work environment. Perform basic math, verbal, written, and oral communication with team. Availability to work overtime and flexible shift patterns. Physical Requirements / Work Environment Ability to push, pull, lift, and move up to 50 pounds and may be required to stand for extended periods of time while performing duties. Ability to squat, bend, and reach different items to complete assigned tasks. Ability to wear all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including work uniform, steel toe shoes, hair net, beard guard (when required), safety glasses, and gloves. PPE may also include a bump cap, face shield, and full/half-face respirators.
