Job Description: The Nitrogen Plant Technician operates and maintains the nitrogen generation systems, compressors, pumps, and related equipment. The technician ensures the plant operates efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company policies and industry standards while meeting production targets. Shift: (A) Front Days, every Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, every other Wednesday 7am-7:12pm Key Responsibilities: Operate and monitor nitrogen generation plants and associated equipment. Start up, shut down, and adjust plant operations according to standard operating procedures. Monitor process parameters such as pressure, temperature, flow rates, and purity levels. Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on plant equipment. Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs with maintenance personnel. Record operational data, maintenance activities, and production reports. Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards. Perform equipment calibration and basic instrumentation checks. Respond to plant alarms and emergency situations promptly. Maintain housekeeping standards within the plant. Participate in safety meetings, training, and continuous improvement initiatives. Requirements/Qualifications: 2+ years of related experience required. Associate degree in HVAC, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Industrial Technology is preferred. High School Diploma or GED required. Experience operating industrial gas plants, air separation units, or nitrogen generation systems is an advantage. Knowledge of compressors, pumps, valves, instrumentation, and PLC-controlled systems. Ability to read P&IDs, equipment manuals, and technical drawings. Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights or in confined spaces when required. Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Stand and walk 90%, sit 10%. Pay Range: We offer a total compensation package that ranks among the best in the industry.
