Position Summary: The Director, U.S. Oncology Marketing – GI will serve as a strategic leader responsible for driving the commercial success of key gastrointestinal oncology brands across hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), colorectal cancer (CRC), and upper gastrointestinal (UGI) indications. This role will lead brand strategy development and execution across the portfolio, translating complex clinical data, market dynamics, and customer insights into differentiated, actionable strategies that deliver growth and patient impact. The Director will operate as a core member of the cross-functional GI tumor leadership team, partnering closely across Medical, Sales, Market Access, Regulatory, and Commercial Operations to ensure seamless execution and alignment. Key Responsibilities: Lead development of integrated brand strategies across HCC, CRC, and UGI indications, ensuring alignment to portfolio and enterprise priorities Translate clinical data, competitive dynamics, and customer insights into clear strategic direction and growth opportunities Drive annual brand planning, long-range forecasting inputs, and lifecycle management strategy across indications Identify key opportunities and barriers across lines of therapy and tumor types, shaping proactive strategic responses Oversee development and execution of HCP (and where applicable, patient) marketing strategies, including omnichannel engagement plans Ensure flawless execution of key tactics, from concept through approval and deployment, in partnership with agency and internal stakeholders Champion data-driven optimization of marketing programs, leveraging analytics and performance insights Lead interpretation of primary and secondary market research to identify evolving customer needs and market trends Continuously monitor competitive landscape and treatment paradigm shifts to inform strategy and messaging Synthesize insights into clear, compelling recommendations that influence cross-functional decision making Serve as a key integrator across matrix partners including Medical Affairs, Sales, Access, Regulatory, and Analytics to ensure aligned strategy and execution Lead cross-functional initiatives and governance forums, ensuring clarity of priorities and accountability Build strong partnerships with field teams to ensure insights are incorporated into strategy and execution Engage with key opinion leaders (KOLs) to inform strategy and ensure relevance of messaging and positioning Represent the GI franchise internally and externally, including at congresses and key strategic forums Lead, develop, and mentor a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration Provide strategic oversight and coaching to direct and indirect reports Drive strong team engagement and cross-functional connectivity Key Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred 8–12+ years of relevant pharmaceutical/biotech marketing experience, with significant oncology experience strongly preferred Demonstrated experience leading brand strategy and execution within complex, competitive markets Deep understanding of oncology landscape, including clinical data interpretation and treatment paradigms Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence without authority in a matrix environment Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with ability to translate insights into action Excellent executive communication and storytelling capabilities Experience managing agency partners and external vendors Experience in hematology or oncology pharmaceutical marketing. Familiarity with digital marketing trends, omnichannel engagement, and customer-centric strategies. Experience in utilizing primary and secondary market research to inform strategy Strong financial acumen with experience in budget management. Compensation Overview: Princeton - NJ - US: $202,030 - $244,810 The starting compensation range(s) for this role are listed above for a full-time employee (FTE) basis. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills, where the job is performed, the employee’s work schedule, job-related knowledge, and experience.
