Relocation assistance is NOT available for this role. This position will reside on a centralized Project Evaluation team providing consistent, objective financial analysis for strategic capital investment projects across GO&SC. The team delivers authoritative business case evaluation to support leadership decision-making across a diverse portfolio of projects including Network Design, Automation, Supplier Optimization, Capacity, VAVE, Sterilization, Real Estate, Digitalization, and related initiatives. Predictable results, transparent analysis, and strong business partnership are the benchmark. This role will partner with teams across Manufacturing Platforms, Strategy & Technology Organization, and other GOSC functions to ensure business cases are complete, consistent, and aligned to enterprise value creation. Key activities include: Serve as a business partner to project teams, strategy owners, and Finance Business Partners to provide objective financial insights and decision support on capital investment projects Lead business case evaluation, including financial modeling, savings calculations, and scenario analysis using standardized analysis tools such as the EAT Pressure-test assumptions, risks, and financial inputs; provide independent, unbiased challenge to ensure rigor and completeness of analyses Utilize Planisware (PLW) as the system of record for project intake, tracking, and reporting; support consistent project hygiene and visibility across portfolios Contribute to the development and application of standardized evaluation methodologies, checklists, and templates across the Project Evaluation team Present financial analyses, key assumptions, risks, and recommendations in a clear, concise, and decision-ready format to leadership Participate in peer / challenge reviews to ensure quality, consistency, and alignment across business cases prior to leadership handoff Support continuous improvement of evaluation processes, tools, and reporting to enhance efficiency and value creation Build strong cross-functional relationships and collaborate effectively across a global, matrixed organization We seek out and hire a diverse workforce at every level: We need fresh ideas and inclusive insights to continue to be an innovative industry leader with an aim to attract and develop employees who are patient-centric, passionate, and who represent the same wide variety of life experiences as our patients. Must Have: Minimum Requirements 7+ years of work experience in finance and/or accounting with a bachelor’s degree or 5 years of experience with an advanced degree Nice to Have Collaborator with excellent verbal and written communication skills Comfort with ambiguity and change management Active team member that will implement change, improve visibility, and drive impactful results across the GO&SC organization · Strong financial modeling, analytical, and critical thinking skills including a proven ability to translate financial data into actionable insight · Exposure to Operations and/or accounting for Operations · Experience in navigating and working within a matrix organization · Experience with Medtronic financial systems including SAP, One Stream, and Planisware · Cost Accounting Experience · Solid accounting (GAAP), financial and business management foundation · Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint About Medtronic Together, we can change healthcare worldwide.
