Job Description Position Overview Under the management and guidance of the Executive Directors, Regional Security and Global Security – Physical Security respectively, incumbent will act as the lead specialist and consultant for all physical security matters within the APAC region for the Global Security Group (GSG). Primary Activities Collaborate on the development of GSG physical security strategy, demand planning, prioritization, and standards as well as executing of same. Additionally, is available for deployment of new services and operational support to the APAC region, including but not limited to, conduct risk assessment/analysis, provide training to business stakeholders and other general security related activities. Define, author and/or inspect physical security man-guarding operations, technology standards, policies, required upgrades, maintenance and day to-day management of all physical security through outside partners/contractors, system integrators or internal resources. Design and implement integrated facility security systems and global service requirements for the company. Direct external relationships to ensure the viability of all physical security systems, legacy and new, with the goals of maximizing investment through life cycle management and minimal business disruption as the result of failed or improperly configured systems. Provide system solution to specific security concerns identified through internal customer requests and security inspections. Develop and maintain operational processes to ensure Global Security Standards are maintained. Develop and administer processes for physical security vulnerability assessments and inspections for various guard operations and security systems (e.g. barriers, access control, visitor management, video surveillance, intrusion detection, duress, emergency notification.) Provide product research, feasibility studies, project planning, tracking and quality assurance and overall vendor communication and management. Leverage internal and external benchmarking to identify leading industry practices to drive continuous improvement for GSG. Direct and Guide the Regional System Command Centre (APAC) in day-to-day operations which include monitoring & responding to Security System alarms/alerts and ensuring the security system health for all the sites in APAC. Qualifications Education Minimum Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree Required Minimum Experience and Skills: 10 years of security system consultancy/implementation experience in security industry and experience in managed security system command centre. Management experience regarding physical security in collaboration with safety, including IT and facility management. Collaboration in matrix organization and ability to manage, track multiple projects in the region. In-depth knowledge of the state-of-the-art security equipment standards and technology encompassing all physical security products. Advanced knowledge of information, personnel and premises security processes and procedures and ability to develop and maintain appropriate levels of security. Knowledge of and ability to employ internal controls and to enhance business strategies for the purpose of detecting, delaying, assessing, responding and preventing loss and protecting assets. Proven ability to operating within a matrixed working environment and manage contractors who provide system consultancy and implementation. Excellent communications skills (written and verbal). Preferred Experience and Skills: Qualified Certified Protection Professional (CPP) and Physical Security Professional (PSP) preferred. Project Management Professional (PMP) Able to travel about 30% of the time.
