This Position reports to: Head of Treasury Middle Office and Controls Company This role sits within ABB's Robotics business, a leading global robotics company. General information You will be a member of the Treasury Middle Office and Controls team, responsible for ensuring the accurate accounting, reporting, reconciliation, and control of treasury activities across ABB Robotics. The role will play a key part in maintaining the integrity of treasury data within Kyriba, supporting treasury accounting processes, and ensuring treasury transactions are correctly reflected in financial reporting systems. You will work closely with Treasury Front Office, Finance & Accounting Operations (FAO), Group Controlling, IS teams, and external implementation partners. Beyond supporting day-to-day treasury accounting and controls activities, you will contribute to building and enhancing the treasury operating model, systems landscape, and control framework of ABB Robotics as it transitions into a standalone company. You will report to the Head of Treasury Middle Office and Controls. The role will be based in Europe (location to be confirmed). Key responsibilities Main tasks include: Treasury Accounting & Reporting Ensure treasury transactions are accurately recorded and accounted for within Kyriba. Perform month-end treasury accounting activities and support financial close processes. Review and reconcile treasury-related balances including loans, cash pools, FX transactions, investments, guarantees, and bank accounts. Support the review, validation, and continuous improvement of treasury accounting models and system-generated accounting entries. Investigate and resolve accounting, interface, and reconciliation discrepancies between Kyriba, SAP, and other financial systems. Support treasury-related audit requests and provide required documentation. Treasury Systems & Data Management Maintain treasury transaction data and accounting configurations within Kyriba. Support treasury system enhancements, testing activities, and ongoing process improvements. Participate in treasury and finance transformation initiatives, including separation and system implementation projects. Support the use of data analytics, automation, and AI-enabled solutions to enhance treasury processes, controls, and reporting. Act as a key contact between Treasury, Accounting, and IS teams regarding treasury systems and data integrity. Governance & Internal Controls Perform treasury reconciliations and control activities to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of treasury records. Maintain and continuously improve treasury policies, procedures, and control frameworks. Support SOX and internal control requirements where applicable. Identify operational risks, recommend mitigation actions, and drive process improvements to strengthen treasury operations and controls. Required skills Education requirements Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field. Accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent) is a strong plus. Job experience Minimum 5 years of experience in Treasury, Treasury Accounting, Treasury Operations, Financial Accounting or Middle Office functions. Experience working with treasury products including FX, loans, cash pools, investments, guarantees, or trade finance. Experience supporting treasury accounting and reconciliations in a multinational environment. Key skills Strong understanding of treasury products and their accounting treatment. Good understanding of financial reporting and month-end close processes. Experience with Treasury Management Systems; Kyriba experience is considered an advantage. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and ability to work with large data sets. Experience with data analytics tools such as Power BI, Power Query or Power Automate, and interest in applying AI-enabled solutions to treasury processes, is considered an advantage. Strong controls mindset, with the ability to identify risks, challenge processes, and support effective control design and execution. Ability to effectively adhere to strict deadlines Team player with a proactive mindset, strong ownership, and accountability.
