The objective of this role is to support ViiV’s operating model and financial obligations by performing statutory accounting and related financial reporting activities for ViiV as well as ensuring financial integrity of the ViiV business, both from a group and a legal entity statutory perspective. The role will be embedded in the ViiV Mgmt Reporting team, with opportunities to interact and collaborate and take active part in continuous improvement and digital projects as well as team-wide activities. Successful candidate will report to ViiV Controlling Director with dotted line to ViiV Senior Statutory & IP Finance Manager, and will have the opportunity to work and develop financial reporting/business partnering skills with stakeholders varying in seniority not just in Finance but in other areas of the business and support functions: C&C, R&D, Legal, Supply Chain, GSK Global Treasury and Trading Partner Finance and Operations and Tax/Transfer Pricing teams. Key Responsibilities: Provide advanced accounting and financial reporting services to the ViiV and GSK management, especially the ViiV statutory sub-group consolidated actual results and internal reporting on a monthly basis. Prepare and review journals and financial analyses. Deliver to ViiV management the primary financial statements (ViiV Healthcare consolidated income statement, balance sheet, statement of changes in equity and cash flow), supported by detailed analyses and notes for approval. Investigate unexpected variances and instigate timely resolution of issues. Prepare ViiV legal entity valuations, as required (entities, investments, goodwill). Provide operational support to ViiV financial management, statutory reporting and planning, including active involvement in group and legal entity statutory audit matters. Monitor royalties, Transfer Pricing and other relevant intercompany adjustments between GSK and ViiV and within ViiV, ensuring they are materially accurate as well as timely and correctly impacting the ViiV Group and each individual ViiV legal entity. Provide oversight over group inventory levels and values, including valuation of inventory (incl. DPS) and provisions. Monitor and oversee monthly cash balances, at a ViiV Group and legal entity level. Monitor individual legal entity cash positions and the impact of interest flows in legal entities’ profitability. Work closely with the Treasury team on Foreign Exchange (“FX”) management – ensure material cross border intercompany payments are managed from an FX perspective each quarter. Provide ad-hoc support to other groups (eg. R&D Finance, Global Tax, Treasury, Supply Chain) with ViiV/operating model specific knowledge and close cooperation with C&C teams in respect of ViiV matters. Drive standardisation, digitalisation and continuous improvement of accounting/reporting processes. Qualifications and Experience: ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent - accomplished or in-progress would be an advantage. Previous experience in audit and/or management and statutory reporting would be an advantage. Experience with SAP, PowerBI, Lumira, Bison, Power Query preferred. Demonstrate problem-solving skills. General knowledge of consolidation framework. General knowledge of Tax and Transfer Pricing framework. General knowledge of Treasury framework. Strong communication skills and stakeholder management. Strong Excel skills. Drive and ability to use Digital tools (e.g. CoPilot, ChatGPT etc.). Working model: This role is hybrid.
