The Role: As an Artisan - DPF, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of Diesel Particulate Filters (DPF) and related exhaust aftertreatment systems on Sandvik equipment. This role ensures optimal performance, compliance with emission standards, and extended lifespan of critical components. Job Responsibilities: Perform diagnostic testing, inspection, and troubleshooting of DPF systems and components. Execute maintenance tasks, including cleaning, regeneration, and replacement of DPF units. Conduct repairs and overhauls of DPF systems, including sensors, injectors, and control units. Utilize specialized tools and diagnostic software to identify and resolve DPF-related issues. Adhere to Sandvik's safety protocols, quality standards, and environmental regulations. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities performed on DPF systems. Collaborate with engineering and technical support teams to address complex DPF challenges. Provide technical guidance and training to less experienced technicians on DPF maintenance. Stay updated with the latest DPF technologies, service procedures, and regulatory requirements. Manage DPF spare parts inventory and ensure availability of necessary components Job Qualifications: Relevant trade qualifications (e.g., Diesel Mechanic, Heavy Equipment Mechanic, Automotive Technician). Proven experience (minimum 3-5 years) in the maintenance and repair of diesel engines and exhaust aftertreatment systems, with a strong focus on DPFs. In-depth knowledge of DPF regeneration processes, sensor operation, and diagnostic tools. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic flowcharts. Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for complex mechanical and electrical systems. Proficiency in using specialized diagnostic software and equipment for DPF analysis. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Commitment to safety and adherence to workplace regulations. Valid driver's license. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in various workshop or field environments.
