Reporting directly to the DVP, this role leads a multidisciplinary team spanning marketing operations, communications, creative design, events, project management, and commercial learning. Key Responsibilities Marketing Excellence Develop and execute the Heart Failure marketing excellence roadmap aligned with divisional growth objectives. Establish best practices, processes, tools, and governance to improve marketing effectiveness. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, speed-to-market, and customer engagement. Provide strategic leadership for annual planning, campaign execution, and business reviews. Define and monitor KPIs and analytics to measure marketing effectiveness and ROI. Communications Lead the Heart Failure internal communications strategy to support business priorities, organizational alignment, and employee engagement. Develop and execute communications plans that effectively cascade business objectives, strategic initiatives, organizational changes, and key leadership messages. Partner with the DVP and HF leadership team to create compelling communications that reinforce culture, vision, and business performance goals. Oversee communication channels, including town halls, leadership meetings, employee events, newsletters, intranet content, recognition programs, and business updates. Ensure message consistency, clarity, and engagement across the Heart Failure organization. Support change management initiatives through targeted communication strategies and engagement programs. Develop executive communications and presentation materials for leadership events and organizational meetings. Work in partnership with GMEA and PR to drive external messages that support HF positioning in the Industry while elevating Abbott’s household name Events & Customer Engagement Provide oversight of national, regional, and customer-facing events, conferences, advisory boards, and commercial meetings. Ensure events support strategic business objectives and deliver measurable outcomes. Identify innovative approaches to increase customer engagement and experience quality. Marketing Operations & Transformation Lead the strategic direction of marketing operations across planning, budgeting, resource allocation, technology enablement, portfolio governance, and project management. Establish high-performance operational frameworks that ensure disciplined execution and accountability. Drive implementation of marketing technologies, automation capabilities, and digital tools that enable scalability and efficiency. Lead marketing transformation initiatives that enhance organizational agility and business performance. Creative Excellence & Brand Stewardship Lead global standards for creative development, content strategy, visual identity, messaging, and brand governance. Ensure consistent application of Abbott and Heart Failure brand standards across all customer-facing channels. Ensure all marketing assets meet regulatory, compliance, and quality requirements. Leadership & Talent Development Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team focused on collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Foster an inclusive and performance-oriented culture. Coach and mentor team members to support career growth and succession planning. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Healthcare Administration, or related field. 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in marketing, commercial excellence, communications, or business transformation roles. 5+ years leading teams. Demonstrated success developing global marketing capabilities and leading organizational transformation. Strong strategic planning, change management, and operational leadership experience. Experience leading cross-functional initiatives across marketing, sales, medical affairs, and corporate functions. Proven ability to influence senior executives and drive alignment across complex organizations. Strong financial, analytical, and project management capabilities. Excellent executive communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. Preferred MBA or advanced business-related degree. Medical device, cardiovascular, healthcare, diagnostics, or pharmaceutical industry experience. Experience supporting global product launches or commercialization efforts. Expertise in omnichannel marketing, customer experience design, and digital transformation. Experience leading globally dispersed teams across multiple regions. Knowledge of marketing technology platforms, CRM systems, analytics, and AI-enabled marketing solutions. The base pay for this position is $172,000.00 – $344,000.00In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
